A field experiment was initiated in established Robusta coffee plantation with different levels of drip fertigation viz., 75, 100, 125 and 150% of recommended dose of fertilizers to study the influence of micro-irrigation and drip fertigation on yield and yield parameters of coffee at Central Coffee Research Institute. Results showed that drip fertigation with 125 % recommended dose of fertilizers recorded significantly higher bearing nodes per branch (24.87) and pin heads/branch (623.

Irrigation and nutrients are most prerequisite factors for crop growth and development. Any imbalance in supply of water or nutrients may leads to poor crop performance and lower production. Therefore there is need to optimize irrigation and fertigation practices to sustain the fenugreek growth, yield and also better seed quality. In the present study drip irrigation at three levels (I1 - 25 % CPE, I2- 50 % CPE and I3 - 75 % CPE) and fertigation at four levels (F1 - 25 % RDF, F2 - 50 % RDF, F3 – 75% RDF and F4 - 100 % RDF) were studied in split plot design with three replications.

Low light is one of the most important environmental factors that determine the basic characteristics of rice growth and development. The selected twenty five adopted varieties are grown in Kharif 2016 under both normal and low light condition. The result were found that biochemical parameters such as grain starch content and total carbohydrate content (TCC) was decreased under low light condition and, nitrogen content in leaf was increased at flowering stage, protein content in grain was also affected by low light as well as grain yield and quality of rice.

Field experiment was conducted during 2017 to study the effect of deficit irrigation practices through drip system and soil moisture distribution in maize. Creation of soil moisture gradient is indispensable to explore the beneficial effects of partial root zone drying (PRD) irrigation and it could be possible only through alternate deficit irrigation (ADI) practice in paired row system of drip layout, which is commonly practiced in India.

ugar cane is one of the most important field crops in the tropics. Sugarcane is grown is not less than 105 countries and presently it covers a total acreage of about 19 million hectares for a world production of approximately 1.3 billion metric ton of cane and 127 million ton of sugar. Sub surface drip irrigation is the most advanced method of irrigation, which enables the application of small amounts of water to soil through the drippers placed below the soil surface with discharge rates.

The present study was undertaken with a view to study the effect of different level of irrigation on biometric parameters of rice crop such as growth, yield and yield attributes and water use efficiency under surface and subsurface drip irrigation. The results shows that the biometric parameters such as plant height, number of tillers per plant, plant dry matter and LAI for rice crop were found maximum in the treatments T3 (subsurface drip) and T8 (conventional irrigation). Water supply to the crops was significantly higher in the treatment T8 as compared to other treatments.
