This paper verifies again both Fuzzy and PID algorithms in controlling a 2D crane system. This article also proposes a fuzzy controller with four inputs and one output used to control 2D crane system. In this paper, both algorithms are proved to work well with crane model in simulation and real experiment.

The majority of vehicle development has, to date, been for vehicles in isolation, thus the study of interaction effects is becoming increasingly important. The main objective of this research is to investigate the use of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) for understanding convoy aerodynamics and to further the understanding of airflow interaction between vehicles via CFD.

The challenges lie in being able to reliably and rapidly detect multiple small objects of interest against a cluttered background which usually consists of trees and buildings, and then classify them as the light vehicle or heavy vehicle based on their pixels length. To this end, we present a concept of traffic monitoring system. The proposed approach can disclose and classify vehicles using the uncelebrated video images. This prototype system is capable to use the uncelebrated surveillance cameras for real-time traffic data collection.

This work deals with the control design and development of an automated car-following strategy that further increases robustness to vehicle dynamics uncertainties. The control algorithm is applied on a hierarchical architecture where high and low level control layers are designed for gap-control and desired acceleration tracking, respectively. A fractional-order controller is proposed due to its flexible frequency shape, fulfilling more demanding design requirements.

Video surveillance is emerging research field of intelligent transport systems. This paper presents some techniques which use machine learning and computer vision in vehicles detection and tracking. Firstly the machine learning approaches using Haar-like features and Ada-Boost algorithm for vehicle detection are presented. Secondly approaches to detect vehicles using the background subtraction method based on Gaussian Mixture Model and to track vehicles using optical flow and multiple Kalman filters were given.

This paper investigates the problem of inter-cell interference (ICI) in Long Term Evolution (LTE) mobile systems, which is one of the main problems that causes loss of packets between the base station and the mobile station. Recently, different frequency reuse methods, such as soft and fractional frequency reuse, have been introduced in order to mitigate this type of interference. In this paper, minimizing the packet loss between the base station and the mobile station is the main concern.

In case of emergency all the vehicles in the network are not affected so broadcasting of alert packet is not feasible rather multicasting of alert packet should be done, but defining the list of node to be considered for multicasting is a challenging task as every vehicle cannot hold the location information of all the vehicles in the network.
