In this retrospective study, 1872 stool specimens examined from January 2018 to December 2018 by saline and iodine mount were included. The negative samples were further screened using formol ether concentration technique. 114 (16.1%) out of 1872 specimens were positive for parasitic infection.

The present study, carried out from September 2018 to August 2019, reports the seasonal fluctuations in the intensity of infection level of helminth parasites in the silver carp, Hypophthalmichthys molitrix, reared along with native carps in ponds and other water bodies of Darbhanga , Bihar, India. The host fish were found to parasitize two monogenean ecto-parasites, Dactylogyrus vastator (in gill & skin) and Gyrodactylus elegans (in skin); one cestode (Bothriocephalus acheilognathi in intestine) and one nematode (Camallanus ophiocephali in stomach).

Clinical parasitism occurs less frequently in goats, however, the parasites of the stomach and intestine could lead to scouring, dehydration, anemia, depression and eventually death. The incidence of gastro-intestinal helminthic and protozoan parasites was identified by coprological survey made in diarrhoeic goats brought to the Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex (TVCC), Veterinary College and Research Institute, Namakkal. The study revealed the incidence of gastrointestinal parasites predominantly by Eimeria spp. and Strongylus spp. followed by Moniezia spp., Strongyloides spp.

Intestinal parasitic infections are prevalent in conditions which have poor hygiene, environment and sanitation. Orphans always lack in basic monetary and sanitary assets in their livelihood. Overcrowded places with lack of cleanliness like orphanages and destitute homes are most dangerous as the infection spreads through them swiftly leading to multiple infections (1). In this tender age group, children are not outspoken about their problems, which can increase the chronicity of the infestation leading to serious impairment in their health.

The objective of this study was to evaluate prevalence of parasitic infection among school children and their association with socio- demographic, environmental and behavioral habits of school children. The specimen was selected randomly. This study was conduct among 250 children (6-15 years of age) from the above school. Stool sample were collected and brought immediately to the microbiology laboratory at department of microbiology for processing. A study on the prevalence of gastrointestinal parasites of herbivores was undertaken in herbivore safari at Nandankanan Zoological Park, Odisha by collecting a total number of 509 faecal samples of 4 species which includes Spotted deer (Axis axis), Sambar (Cervus unicolor), Chausingha / four-horned antelope (Tetracerus quadricornis), and Barking deer (Muntiacus muntjac). 210 faecal samples were positive for helminthic infection indicating a total prevalence of 41.26%.

Intestinal parasitic infections (IPI’s) are commonest cause of diarrhoeas globally endemic and have been described as constituting the greatest single worldwide cause of illness and disease. We aimed to study prevalence of intestinal parasitic infections in a tertiary care hospital. Total 1012 stool samples were included in present study, out of which (8.2%) were positive either for Protozoal or Helminthic infections.

A female jersey dairy calf of three months old under intensive management presented with normal appetence but emaciation and stunted growth was diagnosed with subclinical parasitism by the tapeworm, Moniezia expansa and intestinal coccidia, Eimeria bovis diagnosed by faecal examination. Laboratory investigation revealed remarkable alterations in biochemical values however no changes in haematological values.
