The study examined resource use efficiency of kharif vis-a-vis rabi onion in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra state. It was observed that, the major resources viz., organic manure, potash, plant protection, machine labour and hired labour used in onion cultivation showed a positive relationship in case of rabi onion and in kharif season organic manure and potash showed a negative relationship, It was partly due to influence of climatic condition in kharif season.

This study aims at estimating the economics of production of pulpwood trees grown predominantly in two districts of Tamil Nadu. The estimation of cost of cultivation of eucalyptus and casuarina indicated that cultivation of these pulpwood trees are profitable and financially feasible. The present study was undertaken in Belagavi district of Karnataka to analyse the resource use efficiency of Soybean crop. The multi-stage random sampling procedure was adopted to choose the sample farmers. The total sample size selected for the present study was 60. A Cobb-Douglas production analysis technique was used to analyze the data. The results of the study revealed that seed, FYM, human labour, bullock labour, and fertilizer were over utilised and machine labour and plant protection chemicals were under utilised by the farmers.

Floriculture industry in India is in a boom in recent years. Maharashtra is the leading state in India for cut roses consumption and export. The study is based on data collected from 30 producers growing cut roses in polyhouses around Pune city for the year 2013-14. The average cost of erection of polyhouse (0.24 ha.) was around Rs.23.13 Lakhs. The average cost of cultivation of cut roses was worked to Rs. 5.97 lakh and it was decreased across the size group of polyhouses.
