A one year old female duck was presented with the history of lameless and swelling over the foot region. Close examination revealed swollen necrosed area of the lower part of the foot and it was diagnosed as bumble foot infection. Bumble foot is a skin infection in the bottom of a duck’s foot. It will soon, if not treated, run up the leg and into the body, leading to a severe septicaemic infection or even death.

Every artist who aspires to include people in his or her drawings needs to become proficient in drawing the various components of human anatomy. In this project you explore the basic shapes of a leg and foot and then add graduated shading with hatching and crosshatching to illustrate the three dimensional forms. Skills incorporated into this lesson include: identifying accurate proportions, drawing with contour lines, planning shading strategies, adding graduated values with hatching and crosshatching, and applying foreshortening as a component of perspective....

There remains a paucity of text literature regarding forensic implications of the lower extremity. Forensic Medicine of the Lower Extremity: Human Identification and Trauma Analysis of the Thigh, Leg, and Foot encompasses human identification, biomechanics, trauma analysis, and new areas for potential forensic research with regard to the thigh, knee, leg, ankle, and foot. Initially, the reader may question what makes the lower extremity different enough from other anatomic regions that it merits a separate text.

The purpose of these notes is to give a simple approach to animating a four-footed creature. An animator should feel confident in the character he is animating. If not, his work will lack strength and conviction. He needs to feel "free" to animate and not get bogged down in complex anatomy.

A Tale of Adventure in South America. At the Foot of the Mountain Range. Towards the close of a bright and warm day, between fifty and sixty years ago, a solitary man might have been seen, mounted on a mule, wending his way slowly up the western slopes of the Andes. Although decidedly inelegant and unhandsome, this specimen of the human family was by no means uninteresting. He was so large, and his legs were so long, that the contrast between him and the little mule which he bestrode was ridiculous. He was what is sometimes styled “loosely put...

Strikes and kicks can be very swift and dangerous because of the two horny claws on each foot. Striking with the forelimbs is often performed as part of a rearing jumping action while on the move. With the hind leg the camel can kick to its own shoulder in swinging sidewards and kick forcefully rearwards. They are able to deliver a strong sweeping kick while in sternal recumbency. The camel is also capable of delivering quite a forceful, backward kick with the front leg. Wild camels in open country will run away while they can, but may be very...

Purpose: Soft tissue defects can result in exposition of tendons, bones, joints and nerves… which must be covered early by flaps. Groin free flaps can afford the soft tissue defects. Materials and methods: Groin free flaps were used for 5 cases to cover soft tissue defects at hand, leg, ankle and foot. Those were followed up. Results: 2 soft tissue defects of foot, others 2 of leg and ankle, 1 of hand. All cases were covered by groin free flaps which have good results.
