Light microscopy

The Mn-doped MoS2 (Mn-MoS2) material is fabricated by a facile onestep calcination method. The Mn2+ content introduced into MoS2 is ranged from 1 wt% to 7 wt%. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy SEM results suggest that the doping of Mn2+ does not alter the crystal structure and the morphology of MoS2.

In this work, gold nanorods (AuNRs) with well-controlled aspect ratios were prepared using a modified seedgrowth method and covered by TiO2 layers through the hydrothermal reaction to improve stability. Integrating TiO2 with plasmonic rod-like gold nanoparticles could enhance their photo activity by the local surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) effect. AuNRs aspect ratios were controlled by varying the amount of seed solution, reducing agents, surfactant (CTAB), and titanium (IV) but oxide.

The present research was carried out to determine the anatomical features of leaves of Alangium salviifolium and their endophytic fungal association. Alangium salviifolium is an important medicinal plant with various activities reported. It is suggested that the medicinal property of the plant is either because of their endophytes or the endophytes inherit the medicinal properties from their host plant. Hence the detailed study of plant- microbe interaction is important.

This study introduced a method to produce a thermosensitive nanocomposite hydrogel (nCur-PG) containing curcumin nanoparticles (nCur) which can overcome the poor dissolution of curcumin. Regarding to the method, a thermo-reversible pluronic F127-grafted gelatin (PG) play a role as surfactant to disperse and protect nanocurcumin from aggregation. The synthetic PG was identified by 1H-NMR. The obtained results via Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) indicated that the size of nCur was various in the range from 1.5 ± 0.5 to 128 ± 9.

The organization of Arabidopsis thaliana photosystem II (PSII) and its associated light-harvesting antenna (LHCII) was studied in isolated PSII–LHCII supercomplexes and native membrane-bound crystals by transmission electron microscopy and image analysis. Over 4000 single-particle projections of PSII– LHCII supercomplexes were analyzed. In comparison to spinach supercomplexes [Boekema, E.J., van Roon, H., van Breemen, J.F.L. & Dekker, J.P. (1999) Eur. The photosynthetic protein complexes in plants are located in the chloroplast thylakoid membranes. These membranes have an ultrastructure that consists of tightly stackedÔgranaÕ regions interconnectedbyunstackedmembrane regions.The structure of isolated granamembranes has been studiedhere by cryo-electron microscopy. The data reveals an unusual arrangement of the photosynthetic protein complexes, staggered over two tightly stacked planes.

Patients typically have a high white cell count, splenomegaly, and minimal lymphadenopathy. The chances for a complete response to therapy are poor. Hairy cell leukemia is a rare disease that presents predominantly in older males. Typical presentation involves pancytopenia, although occasional patients will have a leukemic presentation. Splenomegaly is usual.
