Coriander is an annual seed spice crop, which belongs to family Apiaceae. It is native of Mediterranean region. The aromatic characters of plants are due to presence of linalool compound in essential oil of seeds. The green leaves of coriander are used in salads and are a good source of vitamin A and vitamin C. Major active constituents of coriander essential oils and fatty oil. The essential oil content of the weight of ripe and a dried fruit of coriander varies between 0.03 and 2.6% and the content of fatty oil varies between 9.9 and 27.7%.

A new variety of coriander (Coriandrum sativum L.), Gujarat Coriander 3 (GCo 3) was tested under 12 trials for 6 years across the country. Under Gujarat climatic conditions, GCo 3 had recorded 1501.32 kg/ha seed yield, which was 17.00 per cent higher seed yield than check variety Gujarat Coriander 2 (GCo 2).

This paper focuses on RTD beverage made primarily from coconut water, coriander leaves extract and cumin powder. Coconut water is a primitive tropical beverage whose demand and popularity in the market is elevating continuously. It has been characterized as a ―sports beverage‖. It has low matter content comprising mainly of sugars and minerals. Coriander leaves are the source of essential oil, Linalool. Besides, the leaves possess anti-microbial, anti-fungal, antimutagenic and anti-oxidant properties and help to cure indigestion, depression and lowering cholesterol levels.

This study was designed to find correlations between the rate of nitrogen and potassium and basil herb quality resulting from essential oil content and composition. An increase in the amount of nitrogen in the nutritional environment of the plants resulted in the enhanced accumulation of essential oil, as well as in a rise in linalool and germacrene D concentration.
