Accurate assessment of axillary status after neoadjuvant therapy for breast cancer patients with axil‑ lary lymph node metastasis is important for the selection of appropriate subsequent axillary treatment decisions. Our objectives were to accurately predict whether the breast cancer patients with axillary lymph node metastases could achieve axillary pathological complete response (pCR).

Pan-immune-inflammation value (PIV) is defined by the neutrophil, platelet, monocyte, and lymphocyte counts and is associated with immune-checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) therapy outcomes in advanced non-small cell lung cancer (aNSCLC). However, PIV is dynamic under therapy and its longitudinal assessment may help predict efficacy.

Subjects and methods: We performed a descriptive longitudinal study at the Wound Healing Center of National Burn Hospital, from May 2019 to May 2020. Thirty patients with 33 chronic wounds were was injected subcutaneously inside and around the periphery of the chronic wound. We assessed the wound bed, wound size at the time of PRP injection and the first, second and third week of follow-up.

Patients increasingly use patient-reported outcomes (PROs) to self-monitor their health status. Visualizing PROs longitudinally (over time) could help patients interpret and contextualize their PROs. The study sought to assess hospitalized patients’ objective comprehension (primary outcome) of text-only, non-graph, and graph visualizations that display longitudinal PROs.

Interaction of sleep duration and depression on cardiovascular disease: A retrospective cohort study
To assess the interaction of sleep duration and depression on the risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD). Methods: A total of 13,488 eligible participants were enrolled in this retrospective cohort study eventually. Baseline characteristics were extracted from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS) database, including age, sex, diabetes, high-density lipoprotein (HDL), blood glucose (GLU), glycosylated hemoglobin (GHB) etc.

T The roadway networks have been played a vital role in the development of all countries. The assessments of pavement conditions during their service life are therefore decisive to maintain the stable performance of the network. From this point of view, pavement instrumentation allows monitoring pavement conditions continuously and without traffic interruption.

The utility of circulating tumour DNA (ctDNA) for longitudinal tumour monitoring in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) has not been explored beyond mutations in the KRAS proto-oncogene. Here, we aimed to characterise and track patient-specific somatic ctDNA variants, to assess longitudinal changes in disease burden and explore the landscape of actionable alterations.

Multiple myeloma remains an incurable disease with multiple relapses due to residual myeloma cells in the bone marrow of patients after therapy. Presence of small number of cancer cells in the body after cancer treatment, called minimal residual disease, has been shown to be prognostic for progression-free and overall survival.

Cross-sectional studies have shown that elderly with a natural dentition have better general health than edentulous elderly, but this has not been confirmed in studies with longitudinal design. This prospective longitudinal study with a follow-up of 8 years aimed to assess differences in general health, healthcare costs and dental care use between elderly with a natural dentition and edentulous elderly wearing implant-retained or conventional dentures.

The pathogenesis of postoperative cognitive decline (POCD) is still poorly understood; however, the inflammatory response to surgical procedures seems likely to be involved. In addition, our recent randomized controlled trial showed that perioperative corticosteroid treatment may ameliorate early POCD after cardiac surgery. To assess the long-term effect of dexamethasone administration on cognitive function, we conducted a 4-year follow-up.

Remodeling of the extracellular matrix (ECM) is a central mechanism in the progression of idiopathic pulmonary fbrosis (IPF), and remodeling of type VI collagen has been suggested to be associated with disease progression. Biomarkers that defect and predict the progression of IPF would provide valuable information for clinicians when treating IPF patients.
