The objective of the research "Basic health indicators of high school students of rare ethnic San Diu located in Vinh Phuc Province, Vietnam, compared with Kinh" was to identify several morphological and physical strengths of male and female students aged 16-18, contributing to building Vietnamese biological values in the current period. This research on morphological and physical strengths was conducted on 795 high school students, including 406 students of Kinh (50.06%), and 389 students of San Diu (49.94%) in Tam Dao district, Vinh Phuc province.

The present study was based on the bacula of 39 male (17 juvenile, 22 adult) stone marten (Martes foina) samples obtained from all geographical regions of Turkey between 1995 and 2016. Morphological variability in 11 characteristics of bacula was investigated. The purpose of this study was to measure numerical characters of the baculum, to identify relationships between measurements, and to evaluate variabilities in its morphology.

An investigation was taken up to study the magnitude of heterosis for nine characters in rice viz., days to 50 percent flowering, days to maturity, plant height at maturity, productive tillers per plant, tillers per square meter, thousand grain weight, grains per panicle, and yield per plant. The base material for this experiment consisted of 36 F1s involving three cytoplasmic male sterile lines (CMS) and twelve diverse restorers in line x tester mating design along with best varietal check Phule Samruddhi and best hybrid check Sahyadri-4.

There is a need to diversify CMS lines and restorer lines in different genetic background to create some variation and utilize them in hybrid breeding. Present research efforts were made to enhance the variability in CMS lines through conversion of dwarf four lines viz., Dwarf 30 cm, Dwarf 45 cm, Dwarf 60 cm and Dwarf 90 cm into cytoplasmic male sterility. Variation in the height of the parents will help in identifying the out crossed seeds from CMS and selfed-seeds from the hybrid populations.

However, the ‘Napoleon complex’ or ‘small man syndrome’ suggests that smaller males are more assertive and punitive to compensate for lack of height and social dominance. Here, we assess possible relationships between height and punitive behaviours in a real-world setting.

A field experiment was conducted on “Evaluation of Elite Tissue Culture Raised Banana Varieties for Growth, Yield and Quality under Bengaluru condition” during 2018 to 2020. The pseudostem continues to grow in height as the leaves emerge one after the other and reaches its maximum height when the the flower emerges at the top of the plant. It is a monocarpic and bears male, female and hermaphrodite type of flowers.

A study was conducted on the lingual tonsil of six male crossbred goats of six months of age. The lingual tonsil could not be identified macroscopically but in histological sections aggregations of lymphocytes were seen within the core of vallate papillae present in the root of tongue. The stratified squamous keratinized surface epithelium was composed of strata basale, spinosum and corneum, arranged in twelve to fifteen layers and measured 720.35±13.20µm.

This report deals with the successful clinical management of squirrel which fell from a great height. A male wild Indian palm squirrel around 50 gm weights was presented to the Referral Veterinary Polyclinic, IVRI Izatnagar in comatose condition with the history of fall from the treetop to the ground. Clinical examination revealed congested mucous membrane, lack of eye reflexes, ventral abdominal cyanosis, normal body temperature, tachycardia and tachypnoea.

The Line x Tester method of analysis was followed involving 5 females viz., PA 740, PA760, PA848, PA828 and PAIG 77 and 6 males viz., AKA 9703, JLA 505, RAC 024, AKA 7, PA 08 and Phule Dhanwantary for study of heterosis for various yield and fibre characters. The F1’s and their parents were evaluated in Randomized Block Design with two replications. Observations were recorded on Days to 50% flowering, Plant height (cm), Number of sympodia per plant, Number of bolls per plant, Boll weight (g), Seed index, Seed cotton yield per plant (g) and Lint index.

This research assessed the body mass index of in school adolescents in Calabar municipality Local Government Area of cross River State, Nigeria. A total of 454 adolescents (10-19 years) consisting of 218 males and 236 females were randomly selected from 7 study schools in the Local Government Area. A semi-structured questionnaire was used to collect data on background information of the adolescents concerning the topic. Anthropometric measurements (weight and height) of the adolescents were obtained, and used to calculate the Body Mass Index (BMI).

The study was undertaken to assess the Body Mass Index (BMI) of adolescent students to ascertain nutritional status, nutritional awareness level among the student and provide nutritional education to the vulnerable group. The anthropometric measurements like height and weight were recorded to compute the Body Mass Index (BMI) among 125 students studying in 8th and 9th Standard at one of the Government high school of Shorapur taluk, Yadgir district. The BMI was compared with WHO standards based on which inferences were derived.

The present investigation was carried out during the year 2016-17 and 2017-18 at Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology, Ayodhya with the objective to estimate heterotic responses in yield component traits in 45 hybrid combinations developed by crossing 15 lines (females) with 3 testers (males). The experiment was laid out in randomized complete block design with three replications and observations were recorded on 5 randomly selected plants for 12 quantitative traits.

5 CMS lines (as female lines) and 8 lines as a testers (used as males) for hybridisation in Line × Tester fashion to study combining ability i.e general and specific combining ability and also the gene action involved. All the F1hybrid combinations were further evaluated in kharif 2018 for combining ability studies for 10 different traits. Testers used showed significant variance for all the traits except for test weight and days to maturity, where as lines exhibited significant variance for all the traits.

A study was conducted at department of Poultry science, Madras Veterinary College, Chennai to record the qualitative characters of Aseel male chicken and to measure the biometric Characters of the birds. The skin, shank and eye colour were yellow and the colour was red in all the birds (100%). Sixty per cent of bird had red ear lobe and remaining 40% had pinkish red ear lobe. The comb type was ‘Pea’ in 80% of the birds, while it was ‘Rose’ in the remaining birds (20%). The beak colour was either brownish yellow (60%) or blackish yellow (40%). None of the birds had wattles (0%).
