This study utilized a non-destructive technique through quadrat sampling to identify and measure mangroves’ biodiversity and carbon stock. The allometric equation was applied to quantify the carbon stock and Shannon-Wiener diversity index to determine the biodiversity. Twelve species were identified from the 36 sampling plot with 10 × 10 meter.

The paper results showed that the more than ten years mangrove community is a stable forest biome. Mangroves from 10 years old should be planned with different species to increase the diversity in species structure and enhance the ability to stabilize the community and withstand changes in coastal habitats.

The Pteriomorphia is a subclass of Bivalvia, phylum Mollusca that lives in saltwater. The species in this subclass have a soft body, with a protective and supportive limestone shell. The species belonging to the subclass Pteriomorphia quite varied in morphology and ecological characteristics. Many species with high nutrition are used as valuable foods.

Mangrove plantation is an important issue to regulate global warming. However, it is difficult to understand a feasible plantation process. Inundation and salinity fluctuations are considered the major abiotic promoters that influence the early stages of mangrove establishment.

Mangroves are a diverse and rich ecosystem, in which many animals are associated, including benthos. Species composition and occurrence of these animals are driven by the mangroves and tidal conditions. To examine how the benthic animal is distributed in mangrove habitats from northern Vietnam, two surveys in 2019 were conducted in Tien Hai Wetland Nature Reserve, which resulted in a total of 89 species, belonging to 56 genera and 35 families of zoobenthos.

Mangrove endophytes have recently gained considerable attention due to their diversity and abundance of novel bioactive secondary metabolites. Despite the fact that Streptomyces species are producers of more than 75% of commercialized antibiotics, Streptomyces associated with the extremely widespread mangrove plant Avicennia marina remain poorly characterized. In this study, nine actinomycetes were isolated from A. marina growing in a mangrove forest, as yet unexplored, of Quang Ninh province, Vietnam.

Low temperature is a major abiotic stress that seriously limits mangrove productivity and distribution. Kandelia obovata is the most cold-resistance specie in mangrove plants, but little is known about the molecular mechanism underlying its resistance to cold.

The micropropagation protocol of tropical, small evergreen, true mangrove, and woody shrub or tree species, Aegiceras corniculatum, has been standardized. Axillary shoot proliferation was induced in vitro from nodal explants excised from 3-4 years field-grown old plant which was then used as explants for the establishment of in vitro cultures. Surface-sterilized explants were cultured on the Murashige and Skoog (MS) basal medium supplemented with different concentrations and a combination of growth regulators.

Vascular plant species and plant communities in mangrove forest in Dong Long commune, Tien Hai district, Thai Binh province. To support the restoration and development of mangrove forest, we need to determine the composition of plant species, their association, communities, and their distribution in mangrove forest. From that, we gain an overview about the rules of changing in the structure of mangrove forests and also mangrove forest succession. This is the basictechnical solution to develop mangrove community hererin.

A Chaetoceros strain was successfully isolated to a unialgal state from Giao Thuy mangrove and identified to be of Chaetoceros muelleri species based on morphological properties and 18S rDNA sequence analysis. ASW medium together with 250/00 of salinity was found to be best suitable for the growth of this strain and was applied to its biomass production.
