  • The present study was conducted to know the knowledge of dairy animal owners in animal breeding practices a field survey in Surat district (Mahuva, Mandvi, Umarpada and Mangrol talukas. From each talukas three villages (60 cattle owners) were selected to take the observation related to the study.   • The research study was conducted in Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan and Dhanbaad districts of Jharkhand state with sample size of 60 respondents.   • The present study was conducted in Lakhimpur district of Assam to measure the level of knowledge and awareness of farmers on climate resilient agro-technologies. A total of 160 farmers, 80 NICRA (National Innovations on climate resilient agriculture) participant farmers and 80 non-participant farmers were selected randomly from the 8 purposively selected villages. The findings of the study revealed that majority of the participant farmers (56.25%) had medium level of knowledge while for nonparticipant farmers (83.75%) had low level knowledge on climate resilient agro-technologies.

  • The study concludes that more than fifty percent (62.50%) respondents had medium level of knowledge while only 19.17% falls in the category of high level of knowledge about recommended Brinjal production of technology.   • A study in Hisar district of Haryana was conducted during 2014-15 to assess the impact of scientific dairy farming training on knowledge level of dairy farmers about management practices on randomly selected 60 participant and 60 non-participant respondents. Data were collected through personal interview with the help of pretested structured interview schedule from two villages during 2014-15. The study reveals that majority (53.33%) of participant and non-participant dairy farmers had medium level of knowledge about management practices of scientific dairy husbandry practices.

  • This study was conducted in Karwi block of Chitrakoot district by conducting personal interview with 100 respondents which were selected through random sampling technique. There were 65 percent respondents found in middle age group and observed to be literate (67%), belonging to backward caste (70%), residing in nuclear families (63%). The maximum respondents (63 %) were having small farmers land holding and agriculture was observed as main occupations (88%). The 55 per cent respondents were found such who had family annual income Rs. 26001-79000.

  • The study revealed that majority (68.75%) of the farmers belonged to middle age group, had medium annual income (58.75%), belong to medium social cohesiveness(81.25%), had medium mass medium access (72.50%), had medium knowledge on climate change(83.75%). Having more percentage of respondents on medium and high level of fatalism as it was found in result hinted that there is need to develop competencies of farmers on consequences of climate change through the services of agricultural extensionists.

  • The present study was conducted in ten villages of Koppal District, Karnataka with an objective of to know the knowledge level of farmers on Farm Pond. For conducting the present study ten villages were selected randomly and fifteen respondents from each village were selected purposively to comprise a sample size of 150 respondents.   • The study revealed that more than two fifth (42.50%) of seed growers fall under high knowledge category, followed by medium (32.50%) and low knowledge (25.00%). The variables like education, farming experience, achievement motivation, management orientation and mass media participation were showed significant relationship with knowledge level of pigeonpea growers at 5 per cent level of probability. The R2 (0.672) value indicated that, the twelve independent variables put together, contributed a significant amount of variation (67.20%) in the overall knowledge level of pigeonpea seed growers.

The micro- credit given to them to start enterprises and it can be for all women and all men groups. However, it has been the experience that women’s groups perform better in all the important activities of SHGs. SHG is a medium for the development of saving habit among the women.
