  • This paper proposes a method to predict maximum traction force for autonomous mobile robots on rough terrain in order to improve maneuverability. For predicting traction force, we utilize friction-slip curves based on modified Brixius model derived empirically in terramechanics, which is a function of mobility number Bn′ and slip ratio S. Friction-slip curves include physical characteristics of various rough terrains such as firm soil, sandy soil and grass-covered soil.

  • This paper introduces the building method of loosely coupled GPS/INS integrated navigation system. The Euler angles estimation and the velocity constraints are used to improve accuracy. We use MATLAB/Simulink software to simulate and analyze data. The experimental system is built on a low-cost IMU with tri-axis gyroscope, accelerometer and magnetometer and a GPS module to verify the model algorithm. The update rate of the integrated system is equal to the INS rate of 100 Hz and the rate of GPS is 10 Hz.

  • This paper provides a method for the calculation and evaluation of the hydrodynamic coefficients of an AUV. The presence methodology is therefore one useful tool for determining an underwater vehicle’s dynamic stability. The calculated values have been compared with experimental results of a torpedo shape. It was concluded that the methods could calculate accurate values of the hydrodynamic coefficients for a specific AUV shape with its elliptical nose.

  • In this paper we propose a new method to locating of objects by a camera CNN Bi-i V2. These objects are on the ground and they have any position with camera. It is method to locate objects based on geometric relationships of real size of object with its image in camera. The hybrid algorithms are performed in Bi-i that includes parallel and serial tasks of processing. The values of distance and orient are sent to an embedded computer on the robot for controlling. Experiments are successfully implemented on the robot Pioneer 3DX.

  • The paper presents the use of Genetic Algorithm to search for non-linear Autonomous Test Structures (ATS) in Built-In Testing approach. Such structures can include essentially STP and CSTP and their modifications. Non-linear structures are more difficult to analyze than the widely used structures such as independent Test Pattern Generator and the Test Response Compactor realized by Linear Feedback Shift Registers.

  • Abstract The work presented in this paper deals with the problem of the navigation of a mobile robot either in unknown indoor environment or in a partially known one. A navigation method in an unknown environment based on the combination of elementary behaviors has been developed. Most of these behaviors are achieved by means of fuzzy inference systems. The proposed navigator combines two types of obstacle avoidance behaviors, one for the convex obstacles and one for the concave ones.
