  • This paper investigates the effects of the Cyclic Delay Diversity (CDD) transmit diversity scheme on DVB-H networks. Transmit diversity improves reception and Quality of Service (QoS) in areas of poor coverage such as sparsely populated or obscured locations. The technique not only provides robust reception in mobile environments thus improving QoS, but it also reduces network costs in terms of the transmit power, number of infrastructure elements, antenna height and the frequency reuse factor over indoor and outdoor environments.

  • MNOs have grabbed the unbanked market including the rural areas that traditional banks have failed to access, traditional banks have been experiencing a decrease in the level of activity, including liquidity shortages, low deposits and limited credit availability. The MNOs have lower charges for transacting, and offer more convenience and accessibility as opposed to traditional banks. Interoperability between traditional banks and MNOs has been riddled with challenges from the main stream banking sector.

  • In this paper, we present a distributed and scalable evolutionary game played by autonomous mobile ad hoc network (MANET) nodes to place themselves uniformly over a dynamically changing environment without a centralized controller. A node spreading evolutionary game, called NSEG, runs at each mobile node, autonomously makes movement decisions based on localized data while the movement probabilities of possible next locations are assigned by a forced-based genetic algorithm (FGA).

  • In this paper, we will provide a survey of the various approaches to deal with power control management in mobile ad-hoc wireless networks. We will classify these approaches into five main approaches: (a) Node-Degree Constrained Approach, (b) Location Information Based Approach, (c) Graph Theory Approach, (d) Game Theory Approach and (e) Multi-Parameter Optimization Approach.

  • In the other hand, SIP protocol, which knows a huge booming in internet networks, requires centralized entities, like proxy server, registrar server and location service; consequently SIP is not adapted to Ad Hoc networks. We have presented in a new technique VNSIP (Virtual Network for Session Initiation Protocol) to fix the problem related to constraints of SIP deployment in MANET (Mobile Ad Hoc Networks). In this paper we use a new algorithm which we have called MCAC (MANET Call Admission Control) to improve VNSIP Performances.

  • The Internet Protocol (IP) Multimedia Subsystem, better known as "The IMS", is based on the specification of the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) as standardized by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). But SIP as a Protocol is only one part of it; the IMS is more than just a protocol. It is an architecture for the convergence of data, speech and mobile networks and is based on a wide range of protocols, of which most have been developed by the IETF.

  • With SMS, several modes are possible for addressing message recipients. The most common addressing mode consists of using the Mobile Station ISDN Number (MSISDN) in the [ITU-E.164] format (e.g., þ33612345678). However, other less commonly used addressing modes are available such as Email addressing, as defined by the IETF in [RFC-2822], or operator specific numbering schemes (short codes for instance). An optional addressing feature of SMS consists of conveying sub-addressing information as part of a message.
