The paper presents the monopole antenna’s structure, L antenna’s structure, F antenna’s structure and shows developments toward antenna’s structure enhancement. Thus, the paper presents a method to enhance the structure of planar inverted F antenna (PIFA) by meandering and folding techniques for the monopole antenna placed on FR4 dielectric.

In this paper, a fully transparent antenna comprising of an Artificial Magnetic Conductor (AMC) backed Co-planar Waveguide (CPW) fed dual-ring monopole is presented. The monopole antenna and AMC structure achieve transparency due to the use of AgHT-8 conductive oxide and Plexiglas substrate. Measured antenna performance shows an impedance bandwidth of 5.3 – 6 GHz (12.4 %) in the U-NII-1 to U-NII-4 frequency band with a peak gain of 5.7 dBi which is approximately an increase of 4.5 % and 3.9 dBi, respectively, as compared to the stand-alone antenna.

In this paper, we introduce a wideband antenna array for RF energy harvesting from 3G/4G and Wi-Fi. The array consists of four parallelly linked wideband antenna elements and a metallic reflector to enhance gain and suppress back lobe radiation.

This paper proposes a novel structure of the inverted F antenna based on meandering and folding methods for the monopole antenna placed on FR4 dielectric plate. The proposed antenna has compact size (21 mm × 14 mm × 3.2 mm). Moreover, this antenna still offers enough wide bandwidth (VSWR ≤ 2), which covers 3G bandwidth. Using the simulation program to optimize antenna structure and calculate the antenna parameters in order to verify its applicability for the 3G mobile devices.

In this paper a low cost, simple and small size ultrawideiband circular monopole antenna is designed. The notch band is created by multiple number of slots in the ground plane. The proposed antenna is designed on the FR-4 substrate of height 1.6 mm. The antenna is designed with ground plane of dimension 50 x 55 mm and is fed by 50 ohm microstrip line.

This paper concentrates on studying, designing and manufacturing a dual – band and high – bandwidth antenna applied for advance mobile handsets. This antenna can work in GSM/UMTS bands by generating two resonant modes of 900 MHz and 1900 MHz frequencies. Antenna is printed on FR4 substrate with size of 58 mm x 80 mm, thickness of 1.6 mm and relative permittivity of 4.4. The propose antenna is experimentally studied. Receiver System Parameters A receiver picks up the modulated carrier signal from its antenna. The carrier signal is downconverted, and the modulating signal (information) is recovered. Figure 5.1 shows a diagram of typical radio receivers using a double-conversion scheme. The receiver consists of a monopole antenna, an RF amplifier, a synthesizer for LO signals, an audio amplifier, and various mixers, IF amplifiers, and filters.
