The oil absorption capacity decreased with blending. Other functional properties such as Water absorption capacity, Bulk density, swelling index, loaf height, and loaf volume increased as blends ration increases. Sensory characteristic reflected a down turn progression as blending was increased. Increase in cashew nut flour led to increase in chemical and functional quality values of the bread samples hence cheap bio functional ingredient which could also alleviate hidden hunger in rural populations with supplies of macro and micro nutrients.

Aspergillus arachidicola is an aflatoxigenic fungal species, first isolated from the leaves of a wild peanut species native to Argentina. It has since been reported in maize, Brazil nut and human sputum samples. This aflatoxigenic species is capable of secreting both B and G aflatoxins, similar to A. parasiticus and A. nomius. It has other characteristics that may result in its misidentification as one of several other section Flavi species. This study offers a preliminary analysis of the A. arachidicola genome.

Marketing of cashew nut is not properly organized. The channel consists of the producer, village merchant, wholesalers or agents and exporters. Since it is an activity restricted to only three months in a year, there are no exclusive traders for raw cashew nuts. Often there are intermediaries or wholesalers between the traders and manufactures who provide the services of information and make the deal. This has resulted in middleman playing an important role in the marketing of nuts thereby reducing the margin or dividends for the cashew farmers.

The present study was conducted in Ananthapur district of Andhra Pradesh to study the profile characteristics and Information Source Utilization Pattern of rain fed groundnut farmers. Ananathapur farmers are largely dependent on drought-prone, rain-fed agriculture; and mostly a single crop of groundnut is sown in about 8 lakh ha under such harsh and agro climatic conditions. Of its geographical area of 19, 13,000 ha, (largest in AP) 10, 00,000 ha are rain-fed. The present state of A.P has totally about 40 lakh ha under rain fed cultivation and 25% of it is in Ananathapur district.

The present investigation was carried out with an aim to isolate and characterize native Bacillus thuringiensis from Anand district of Middle Gujarat. Total 67 probable B. thuringiensis were isolated from 17 diverse soil samples, out of which 9 isolates were selected based on presence of parasporal crystal body and primary toxicity test. Selected nine native isolates were characterized based on their morpho-cultural and biochemical characteristics.

Investigations were carried out on nine almond varieties/selections (three exotic and six indigenous) to study their nut and kernel quality planted at experiment farm of Dryland Agriculture Research Station (DARS), SKUAST-Kashmir. Maximum nut weight (2.24 and 2.19 g) and nut length (39.88 mm and 40.69 mm) was recorded in Primorskij during 1st and 2nd year of study, respectively, however nut breadth was maximum in Waris (20.42 mm and 20.17). Kernel weight was recorded highest Primorskij(1.29 g and 1.26 g) along with kernel length (28.62 mm and 29.
