Nutrients in lateritic soil of Konkan

A field experiment was conducted on coastal lateritic soil of Konkan region to study the effect of different establishment methods and varieties on yield, quality and nutrient uptake of Kharif finger millet [Eleusine coracana (L.) gaertn.] during kharif 2014 at Agronomy Farm, College of Agriculture, Dapoli. Field experiment was conducted during Rabi season 2013-2014 at Central Experiment Station, Pangari Block, Wakawali, Dr. B.S.K.K.V. Dapoli, Dist. Ratnagiri. The objective of experiment was effect of factory effluent on available of nutrients in soil. The experiment was laid out in Randomize block design with three replication and nine treatments. The experimental soil was acidic but after application effluent it goes to the alkaline having pH above 7.
