  • In this study, we successfully synthesized europium-doped TiO2 (TiO2 :Eu3+) nanomaterials (NMs) with crystalline sizes ranging from 6.5 to 71.7 nm through a sol-gel method. Analysis of X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns and ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectra indicates that the substitution of smaller-sized Ti4+ ions (0.745 Å) by largersized Eu3+ ions (0.947 Å) was more efficient at higher doping concentrations and annealing temperatures.

  • In this work, the structural characteristic and photoluminescence properties were investigated in Eu3+ ions-doped B2O3-TeO2 –ZnO-Na2O glasses. These glasses were prepared by the melting method in air, after that thermal annealed 350˚C, 450˚C and 550˚C for different times.

  • The electron-phonon coupling strength (g) has been calculated. The value of Ωλ parameters were calculated from the emission spectra using Judd-Ofelt theory. These parameters were used to predict radiative properties such as transition probabilities (AR), calculated branching ratios (βR) and stimulated emission cross-sections (σλ p ) for 5D0 →7FJ transitions. The results have shown that the 5D0 →7F2 transition of Eu3+ ions in BTe glass is very promising for laser emission and optical amplification.

  • LaF3 nanocrystals doped with different concentrations of Eu3+ ions were synthesized by hydrothermal method. The XRD, luminescence and excitation spectra have been studied at room temperature. The ratio of the 5D0→7 F2 electric dipole transition intensity to the 5D0→7 F1 magnetic dipole transition intensity (R) was used to evaluate the asymmetry of Eu3+ site. JuddOfelt parameters were calculated from emission spectra and were used to predict the radiative properties of 5D0→7 FJ transitions also the lifetime of 5D0 level.

  • The powders of Mg(Al1-xEux)2O4 have been synthesized by sol-gel method. Optical properties of the material were investigated. The nature of lines in luminescence spectra is related to the electron transitions of Eu3+ ions corresponding to different sites in the lattice. The influence of Eu concentration on optical spectra was studied.
