In the work "Master's thesis of Science: User delay tolerance - aware edge node placement optimization for cost minimization", we review the related works and identify the research gaps in Chapter 2. Then, we formulate our problem in Chapter 3 and prove the NP-hardness of the problem in Chapter 4. Base on our problem formulation, we provide a suit of solutions in Chapter 5. Tube feeding is a common procedure in neonatology. In humans, tube misplacement reportedly occurs in up to 59% of all cases and may lead to perforation in 1.1% of preterm intubated neonates. In this article, two new metaheuristic optimization techniques, namely, crow search algorithm and re y algorithm are applied to the well placement optimization problem and their applications to maximize the net pro t value are studied. To study the performance of the re y and crow search algorithm, Eclipse and MATLAB environment are used . The proposed techniques are compared to popular established methods for optimizing well placement. Results show that the re y algorithm is proved to be e cient and e ective compared to other established techniques.

A power system is identified observable when the voltages of all buses in the power system are known. This paper proposes selection rules for topology transformation method that involves a merging process of zero-injection bus with one of its neighbors. The result from the merging process is influenced by the selection of bus selected to merge with the zero-injection bus.
