Many systemic and non-systemic fungicides were reported to manage the powdery mildew of capsicum. The information on the efficacy of new fungicides against powdery mildew of capsicum is insufficient. By considering the seriousness of disease and the economic damage/exorbitant losses caused by the disease, the present investigation was carried out by using integrated management approach using new molecule fungicides, botanicals and organic amendments for their efficacy to suppress powdery mildew of chilli under field condition.

The research was carried out for the management of bulb rot using organic amendments. Five organic amendments and a fungicide (treated check) were evaluated for their efficacy under in vitro and in vivo against bulb rot of garlic incited by Fusarium proliferatum, Carbendazim @ 0.1% as treated control was effective in the inhibition of mycelial growth (100%) of F. proliferatum followed by T3(Neem cake-46.98%), T5(Mustard cake-44.72%), T1(Vermicompost-37.68%), T2(FYM-34.29%), T4(Poultry manure28.89%).

Among the diseases of safflower; dry root rot disease caused by Macrophomina phaseolina (Tassi.) Goid is one of the most destructive and wide spread disease of Safflower (Carthamous tinctorius L.) causing accountable losses of about 25-60 per cent. Eleven Botanicals evaluated in vitro were found fungistatic/antifungal against M. phaseolina. Amongs these A. sativum followed by A. cepa and V. negundo caused significantly highest mean mycelial inhibition 83.57, 72.09 and 65.85 per cent respectively.

Present study was undertaken on the stem/root rot caused by Macrophomina phaseolina (Tassi) Goid of Brinjal (Solanum melongena) during 2015-16. A total of 10 amendments were evaluated as pre- sowing application against M. phaseolina (sick soil), sowing susceptible brinjal variety Rakesh in pot culture under glass house conditions. The average reduction in mortality (PESR and PESM) recorded with all the test amendments was ranged from 17.11 (FYM) to 66.96 (neem seed cake) per cent over untreated control. However, significantly highest reduction in average mortality (66.

Efficacy of biocontrol agents and organic amendments was evaluated for their potential to manage the Fusarium wilt of tomato (Lycopersicon escluentum L.) caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici (FOL). Yeast, Trichoderma viride, T. harzianum and Pseudomonas spp. were collected from tomato growing areas of Tamil Nadu, India, and tested for antagonistic activity against the pathogen using a dual culture technique in Petri dishes.

The present experiment was planned integrated management of root rot pathogen in chickpea. Occurrence of root rot disease has become a major constraint in recent years for successful and profitable cultivation of chickpea. The efficacy of Bio-agent viz. Tricoderma viride, Organic amendment viz. neem cake, Plant extract, garlic, and Fungicide, Carbendanzim applied through seed treatment and soil application were evaluated against Macrophomina phaseolina causing root rot disease of Chickpea.

Bacterial wilt caused by Ralstonia solanacearum (Smith) Yabuuchi is one of the most destructive diseases of tomato (Lycopersicum esculentum), causing accountable losses of about 10-90 per cent. Present investigations on the disease (R. solanacearum) were carried out during 2014-15 to fulfill the objectives defined, at the Department of Plant Pathology, College of Agriculture, VNMKV, Parbhani. A total of 10 organic amendments evaluated (pot culture) as pre- sowing soil applications were found effective against R. solanacearum.

Studies were conducted on Carnation (Dianthus caryophyllus L.) to find out the effect of integrated inoculation of potent native isolates of Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AM fungi) and Azotobacter chroocococum with other approaches of management like cultural and biological methods in solarized soil on the incidence of wilt caused by Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. dianthi (Prill. and Del.). Initially, organic amendments, botanicals and bio-control agents were evaluated against wilt to find out the best treatments. Among amendments, neem cake was found most effective with 75.
