Paper sheets made

This paper deals with the free vibration and dynamic responses of composite sandwich plates. The sandwich plate has three layers in which two face sheets are made of isotropic material, and the core layer is made of auxetic honeycomb structures with a negative Poisson’s ratio.

Plastic single-use packaging is one of the largest contributors to plastic pollution in Vietnam as well as in many other countries. Alternative materials, especially materials derived from natural and renewable sources, should be developed to solve this global issue. In this study, we aimed to investigate the synthesis and properties of packaging paper sheets from sugarcane bagasse and lemongrass by-products.

Fruit leathers are made by drying a very thin layer of fruit puree to produce a product with a texture similar to soft leather. Fruit leather is the product prepared by blending fruit purees or pulp extracted from ripe pulpy fruit, sugar or other nutritive sweeteners and other ingredients and additives desired for product and dehydrated to form sheet which can be cut to desired shape and size. The preservation of fruit leathers depends on their low moisture content, the natural acidity of the fruit used and high sugar contents.

An attempt has been made to explore different types of algae from Panikhaiti area of Guwahati, Assam using Winogradsky column. In order to prepare Winogradsy column, soil and water samples were collected from different locations. A transparent, clear plastic bottle was taken and filled with 500g of soil and over layered with 500ml of water sample. The columns were enriched with different carbon and nitrogen supplements. They were covered with plastic sheets and few holes were punctured on them. These were incubated at room temperature (±28°C) in presence of sunlight.
