Phosphorus solubility from rock phosphate

The present experiment was conducted at research farm of Department of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, Collage of Agriculture, Dhule (M.S.) with an objective to evaluate the phosphorus solubility and nutrient availability during phosphocomposting. Phosphocompost was prepared by using bajra straw and cotton stalks along with low grade rock phosphate (Jhabua rock phosphate, Madhya Pradesh) by pit method.

Enriched vermicompost preparation used Eisenia foetida vermiworm species and other additives (PSB, bacillus, rock phosphate) in it. The whole experiment was carried out at experimental station, Dr. RPCAU, Pusa and physical, chemical, enzymatic and biological properties were analyzed to ensure its quality aspect.
