Proven treatments for low back pain, at best, only provide modest overall benefits. Matching people to treatments that are likely to be most effective for them may improve clinical outcomes and makes better use of health care resources.

Many patients will seek care from a podiatrist for plantar heel pain (PHP), while few of these patients will also be seen by a physical therapist. Physical therapists can provide treatment that is not a part of routine podiatric care for PHP and may provide additional improvement.

Kinesiophobia is not required to predict chronic low back pain in workers: A decision curve analysis
Currently used performance measures for discrimination were not informative to determine the clinical benefit of predictor variables. The purpose was to evaluate if a former relevant predictor, kinesiophobia, remained clinically relevant to predict chronic occupational low back pain (LBP) in the light of a novel discriminative performance measure, Decision Curve Analysis (DCA), using the Net Benefit (NB).

Imaging of sports related injuries has always been a very popular topic and the interest of radiologists in this domain has even increased in recent years. Competitive athletes are vulnerable to a variety of injuries and they are often very demanding in their expectations of a correct diagnosis, appropriate treatment and advice on prognosis and estimated recovery period. I mentioned that I thought it would be hard to find a job in something as specialized as Occupational Therapy on the local market, especially with the language barrier. Right away the CLO called Anne Ramos, the GEA coordinator, to see if we could meet and talk. When I met with Anne, I explained that I was a certified Occupational Therapist. Occupational Therapy is the treatment of cognitive, physical, and /or psycho-social dysfunction that hinders individuals from participating in daily activities.
