GATA1 is a key transcription factor in the GATA family, and promotes the differentiation and maturation of red blood cell, which is essential for normal hematopoiesis. Our study provides cues for further studying the roles of GATA1 gene in fish development, and suggested a potential molecular mechanism by which NP leads to abnormal development of fish embryos.

In this research, we have compared the developing embryos in vitro capacity of oocytes collected from slaughtered cows and ones collected by Ovum Pick Up (OPU) from living cows. As the result showed that, by OPU technology, we have collected many high quality oocytes, that increased the developing capacity of the oocytes grown in vitro. Therefore, that increased the percentage fertilization and the developing capacity of the embryos grown in vitro.

The liver is mainly hematopoietic in the embryo, and converts into a major metabolic organ in the adult. Therefore, it is intensively remodeled after birth to adapt and perform adult functions. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are involved in organ development and cell differentiation, likely they have potential roles in regulating postnatal liver development.

A comprehensive assembly of embryo-specific miRNAs and respective isoforms (isomiR) is lacking to date. We aimed at revealing the sex-specific miRNA expression profile of single porcine blastocysts developing in gilts orally exposed to exogenous estradiol-17β (E2). Therefore we analyzed the miRNA profile specifically focusing on isomiRs and potentially embryo-specific miRNAs.

The breed has great potential in meeting demands of local food producers, commercial farmers and biotechnology sector of specific pathogen-free (SPF) eggs, the former valuing the breed for its egg weight (EW), EL, age at first egg (AFE), body weight (BW), and the latter for its yield of extraembryonic fluid (YEF) in 12.5-day embryos, ratio of extraembryonic fluid to egg weight, and embryo mass.

Signal peptides are essential for plant growth and development. In plants, biological processes including cell-cell communication, cellular proliferation and differentiation, cellular determination of selfincompatibility, and defensive responses, all depend heavily on peptide-signaling networks such as CLE (CLAVATA3/ Embryo surrounding region-related).

Current knowledge of the human fetal and embryonic development relies on early descriptive studies of humans and from experimental studies of laboratory animals and embryos. Taking the upper extremity as an example, this study explores the potential of magnetic resonance microscopy (MRM) for the assessment of the development of the fetal upper extremity and discusses its correlation with histological findings.

The Arabidopsis thaliana LEC2 gene encodes a B3 domain transcription factor, which plays critical roles during both zygotic and somatic embryogenesis. LEC2 exerts significant impacts on determining embryogenic potential and various metabolic processes through a complicated genetic regulatory network.

In vivo haploid induction (HI) based on Stock6-derived inducer lines has been the most prevalent means of producing haploids. Nevertheless, the biological mechanism of HI is not fully understood, the twinembryo kernels had been found during haploid induction, which may provide potential evidence for the abnormal double fertilization during HI.

The CRISPR/Cas9 system can effectively introduce site-specific modifications to the genome. The efficiency is high enough to induce targeted genome modifications during embryogenesis, thus increasing the efficiency of producing genetically modified animal models and having potential clinical applications as an assisted reproductive technology.

Stem cells have properties of self-renewal and differentiation. Stem cells can be acquired from both embryo and adult body organs. They have also got the ability to differentiate (potency) and to take over the characteristics of any cell type in the body (Plasticity). Because of these efficient characteristics, they can be used to enhance the livestock production by means of chimera production, gene targeting, nuclear transfer, animal cloning, gene transfer and genetic engineering.

Somatic embryogenesis based plant regeneration is a pre-requisite for genetic transformation of banana. Mass multiplication of banana through somatic embryogenesis is also viewed as an economically viable alternative to commonly used shoot tip based method. Banana somatic embryogenesis response was studied in three popular banana cultivars, Grand Naine, Rasthali and Hill banana „Virupakshi‟. Immature male flower bud explant was used for embryogenic callus induction.
