This study is conducted based on the hypothesis of an accident from Fengcheng NPP with an incident level of 7, equivalent to the Fukushima accident. A modeling system has been established with different failure scenarios based on the Delft3D model. The research results will provide more insights into the extent and scope of the incident and the impact of meteorological conditions and dynamics on the propagation and distribution of radiation when an incident occurs.

In this article we studied key questions about the role of confidence in the legitimization of justice in the countries of transitional period. We argued that the level of confidence in justice in society is directly proportional to the level of its civil consciousness. The informational nature of both predetermines the need of using of information methods for building confidence in court as a necessary condition for legitimizing justice in transitional society.

Ebook "Late transition metal-carboryne complexes: Synthesis, structure, bonding, and reaction with alkenes and alkynes" shows in this thesis that transition metals can mediate or catalyze the cycloaddition or coupling reactions of carboryne with alkynes or alkenes to afford benzocarboranes, alkenylcarboranes or dihydrobenzocarboranes. These results represent powerful strategies to assemble useful complex molecules from very simple precursors in a single operation. Carboranes have many applications in medicine.

Ebook "Vacuum drying for extending food shelf-life" is based on scientific articles published from the 1940s to the present, and is divided into five chapters: the first is an introduction to the use of vacuum in food processes; the second, third and fourth comprise advances on the most relevant vacuum drying techniques applied to food, namely conventional vacuum drying, freeze-drying and microwave-vacuum drying and the fifth deals with studies where vacuum drying techniques were compared to other drying techniques in terms of quality and/or engineering aspects.

This paper explores how established natural gas interests responded to climate action in the European Union. Climate policy was initially not anticipated to reduce the role of natural gas in the energy system, if anything, many presumed that it would come to play a larger role.

The considering the policy efforts to stimulate community energy development, we argue that these impacts can be amplified, due to cumulative power of many community energy initiatives together. Our contribution highlights that for making energy transitions just, a broader and more connected understanding of energy justice in the context of community energy initiatives is central.

Incumbent firms are frequently portrayed as hampering change, while managerial strategies using traditional public policy instruments remain understudied. Addressing this bias, we examine strategies used by networks of incumbent state and industry actors in China, Japan and California to accelerate the production and diffusion of battery-electric or hydrogen-powered vehicles.

The work on technology transitions and electricity has concentrated on sustainability from the perspective of centralized generation and transmission companies. For example, there is a substantial literature in energy social science on the role that the smart grid plays in the sustainable energy transition.

The accompanying redistribution of resources could be an opportunity for society to overcome existing unjust power relations, such as gender inequalities, instead of reproducing these structures. To achieve this, there must be a better understanding of the effects of transformation dynamics on inequalities.

N -bridged dimers of tetrapyrroles complexed by transition metals have been known for nearly four decades, and gained renewed attention when their powerful oxidation properties were recently evidenced. This article is a state of the art review of the reported complexes and of their synthetic methods. Beyond classical chemistry characterization tools, specific methods appropriate to their structure are used and are presented in detail. Finally, their uses and importance of oxidation catalysts are reviewed.

The energy-efficient operation for Ethernet links standardized by IEEE consists of a low-power state and transition mechanisms between the active state with high power consumption and the low-power state. Reviriego et al. Reported 90% power save in state L where there is no traffic. IEEE, however, did not standardize the triggering mechanism on which conditions state L should be reached. As a result, many algorithms have been proposed for better L state usage, like frame transmission and burst transmission algorithm.
