Pre-processing

In this study, four machine learning models have been studied which are Artificial Neural Networks, Convolutional Neural Networks, Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) and Extreme Learning Machine (ELM). They have been used to forecast the solar power of Nhi Ha solar farm in short-term. First, data from Nhi Ha solar farm were collected and underwent preprocessing before being utilized by aforementioned distinct machine learning models.

This study proposes a threshold method in the preprocessing stage to improve human activity classification accuracy by determining the region of meaningful information (RMI) on the spectrogram. Initially, a mask function, which is created by a certain threshold value, is applied to the input spectrogram to highlight the RMI from the micro-Doppler (m-D) signatures.

This paper presents our approach that addresses the problem of transplanting a source speaker’s emotional expression to a target speaker, one of the Vietnamese Language and Speech Processsing (VLSP) 2022 TTS tasks. This approach required a significant amount of time for preprocessing and formulating a constraint satisfaction problem (CSP). To address this problem, we proposed a new algorithm based on a hash data structure which performs more quickly in itemsets filtering and problem modeling. Experiment evaluations are conducted on real world and synthetic datasets.

In this paper, we propose an approach that preprocesses noisy found data on the Internet and trains a high-quality TTS model on the processed data. The VLSP-provided training data was thoroughly preprocessed using 1) voice activity detection, 2) automatic speech recognition-based prosodic punctuation insertion, and 3) Spleeter, source separation tool, for separating voice from background music.

In this paper, we propose to use Conformal Geometric Algebra (CGA) to feature extraction and reduce dimensions of the data. First, the action data is preprocessed to normalize the data. Next, use CGA to reduce dimensions of data and create feature vectors. Finally, use the LSTM for training and prediction. The experiment was conducted on the CMU dataset with 8 different actions and the results showed that the proposed method has higher results than the previous methods.
