Transforming growth factor (TGF)-β plays a pivotal role in cancer progression through regulating cancer cell proliferation, invasion, and remodeling of the tumor microenvironment. Cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) are the predominant type of stromal cell, in which TGF-β signaling is activated.

Studies on the incidence of rice-tungro virus (RTV) and population dynamic of its predominant vector
Rice tungro virus (RTV) is a complex disease caused by RTBV (rice tungro bacilliform virus) and RTSV (rice tungro spherical virus). In West Bengal, it is transmitted by different species of green leafhopper (GLH) like Nephotettix virescens, Nephotettix nigropictus and Zigzag leafhopper (ZLH) R. dorsalis. The present investigation was made to observe the incidence of RTV and the population dynamic of its predominant vector green leafhoppers (GLH).

This study examines the relationship between the sovereign credit ratings of Turkey and foreign direct investment inflows during the period from January 1995 to July 2013 in Turkey by using cointegration, VAR Granger causality, vector error correction model, vector autoregression and impulse-response analyses. We find that there is a positive relationship between foreign direct investment inflows and sovereign credit ratings and the sovereign credit rating by S&P is the predominant one on the foreign direct investment inflows.

Dengue is the most common mosquito-borne viral infection in tropical and sub-tropical countries. Dengue virus, a single stranded positive sense RNA virus belongs to the genus Flavivirus in the family Flaviviridae. Both Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus are the main vectors for dengue virus in India. Dengue illnesses are caused by one or more of the serologically related viruses namely DENV-1, DENV-2, DENV-3, DENV-4 and the newly identified DENV-5.India has faced a dramatically expanded dengue virus transmission over the last few decades, with rapidly changing epidemiology.

Dengue is the most important and rapidly spreading mosquito-borne viral disease in the world. It is caused by any of the 4 serologically related virus serotypes designated as: DEN-1, DEN-2, DEN-3 and DEN-4, each causing its characteristic symptoms which range from acute febrile illness to severe manifestations (DHF and DHS). The present study focuses on the circulating serotypes of Dengue in this region. A total of 246 clinically suspected patients of Dengue fulfilling the WHO case definition were undertaken in the study.
