The study revealed that high susceptibility towards insect-pests and disease such as aphid insect, black spot and bacterial blight disease were observed most common and major production problems for both contract (73.33%) and non-contract farmers (77.78%); however, less number of contact farmers were facing these problems. However, such a strategy is inappropriate for the United States in current circumstances. Inflation expectations appear reasonably well-anchored, and both inflation expectations and actual inflation remain within a range consistent with price stability. In this context, raising the inflation objective would likely entail much greater costs than benefits. Inflation would be higher and probably more volatile under such a policy, undermining confidence and the ability of firms and households to make longer- term plans, while squandering the Fed’s hard-won inflation credibility.

While the outlook for the construction industry appears to be heading in the right direction for 2013, many firms are still grappling with significant economic headwinds. Growing demand for certain types of private sector projects, plans to expand payrolls, relative stability in transportation markets, increasing willingness to raise bid prices and growing embrace of new technology and new business practices are clear signs the industry is ready to emerge from a years-long downturn. But for every sign of optimism, there are causes for concern.
