Promoting teamwork

Home visiting programmes aiming to support parents and promote more equal health amongst young children have grown in Sweden and in other countries. These programmes involve interprofessional teams. Teamwork in interprofessional contexts often requires setting boundaries, but professionals’ boundary work in the home setting is unexplored.

Patient safety has become a priority in healthcare system and patient safety culture among health care workers is a driving force for its application. To assess patient safety culture dimensions at work unit level among HCWs in Tanta University Hospitals. A crosssectional study was conducted over a period of 1 year using Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture of AHRQ. Clinical simulations are designed to increase communication and experience among all members of the healthcare team in a low stakes environment. In this study we investigate the current application of in-situ simulation for training and educational purposes at the University of Virginia Health System. One factor we examined includes the impact of the level of fidelity of the simulator on clinician experience. We also looked at the ability to document the situation and if generational differences exist among participants that determine their engagement.
