Proposed forecasting method

Accurate daily load forecasting is critical for effective energy management planning. In this study, the article proposes a new method for daily load forecasting that takes advantage of load data and weather data over time in Tien Giang.

We also applied our proposed model to a real life system of an islanded MG at small-scale with demand, PV power, and WTG power forecast, and the DEG output power is control variable. The results of test system have demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed method.

This study proposes an alternative approach based on the deep learning paradigm working in a complementary way with conventional methods such as the finite element method for quickly forecasting the responses of structures under random wind loads with reasonable accuracy.

This building had much better performance than two others and experienced less loss. Moreover, the results of the analysis show that the collapse criteria related to the seismic evaluation codes are non-conservative. The results of this survey imply that the proposed method can precisely forecast the collapse or non-collapse of the studied buildings. Therefore, it would be recognized as a reliable method for collapse assessment.

The proposed forecasting method was tested for the Ho Ho reservoir, the area facing the scarcity of historical data for model calibration and verification. The analysis of the forecasting results for Ho Ho reservoir using transferred parameters from the stable calibrated parameter values at Hoa Duyet station (downstream of Ho Ho reservoir) and the results obtained using the adapted parameters by the proposed method shows that the adapted parameter values provides a more reliable forecast, which will better serve the decision making.

This paper proposes a procedural pipeline for wind forecasting based on clustering and regression. First, the data are clustered into groups sharing similar dynamic properties. Then, data in the same cluster are used to train the neural network that predicts wind speed. For clustering, a hidden Markov model (HMM) and the modified Bayesian information criteria (BIC) are incorporated in a new method of clustering time series data.
