MRSA is a problem within health care organization and in the community. The aim of this study was to identify the prevalence of S. aureus in the anterior nares of health care workers of different occupation including attendants, sweepers, nurses, students, OT technicians and to analyse their antibiogram with reference to methicillin resistance. In this prospective study, total 100 nasal samples were collected from health care workers by using a sterile moistened swab. 20 nasal swabs were taken from each group. MRSA was identified according to CLSI guideline.
