Real time monitoring

This project presents a facial recognition-based time-tracking system that aims to improve the process of monitoring employee attendance. The system utilizes the LBPH (Local Binary Patterns Histograms) algorithm to collect and analyze facial data in real-time, allowing for accurate identification of individuals even in varying lighting conditions and from different angles.

Ultra-wideband (UWB) radars are getting much attention for maritime applications of smart and luxury ships in which UWB radar could be integrated into Bridge Navigational Watch & Alarm System - BNWAS. One of the interesting applications of UWB radar is vital signs measurement, which is a contactless method. UWB radar measures respiration and heartbeat rate by the motion of thorax for detecting and checking the state of people on the bridge.

Paper "Multi-source data analysis for bike sharing systems" propose two types of regression models using multi-source data to predict the hourly bike pick-up demand at cluster level: Similarity Weighted K-Nearest-Neighbor (SWK) based regression and Artificial Neural Network (ANN). SWK-based regression models learn the weights of several meteorological factors and/or taxi usage and use the correlation between consecutive time slots to predict the bike pick-up demand.

This paper will present an IoT-based system to monitor critical parameters of vehicles, including temperature, humidity, fuel consumption, and positioning. We monitored a continuous culture of the yeastSaccharomyces cerevisiae by membrane-inlet mass spectrometry. This technique allows very rapid simultaneous measurements (one point every 12 s) of several dissolved gases. During our experiment, the culture exhibited a multioscillatory mode in which the dissolved oxygen and carbon dioxide records displayed period-icities of 13 h, 36 min and 4 min.
