  • The present study was conducted in Adilabad district of Telangana to study the profile and employment generation of tribal farmers. Total 120 respondents were randomly selected for the study and interviewed. Most of the (44.10 %) respondents belonged to medium category followed by low (39.20%) and high (16.70%) income generation. The results of the investigation it was found that farm size, training received, credit orientation, achievement motivation, social support, extension contact and mass media exposure had a positive and significant correlation with the income generation.

  • The present study was conducted in different districts of Punjab. 250 respondents were randomly selected and were interviewed personally the help of pretested interview schedule. Most of the farmers were middle aged and young. The education level of most of the farmers was more than high school. Most of the dairy farmers (52%) were medium dairy farmers followed by small dairy farmers (28%), large dairy farmers (12%) and very large dairy farmers (8%).

  • The present study was conducted in 12 Raitha Samparka Kendras (RSKs) of Tumukuru district of Karnataka state during 2017-2018 to know the extent of participation of farmers in agricultural extension activities of RSKs. One hundred twenty farmers who availed agricultural extension services of RSKs were interviewed using a pre-tested interview schedule. The results revealed that a vast majority of farmers had ‘contacted’ the agricultural extension functionaries in RSKs through mobile (85.00%) and landline phone (81.66%).

  • The study was conducted in Latur district of Marathwada region. Population for the study comprised of respondents who were subscriber of Kisan Mobile Advisory Service in Latur district. From latur district Latur, Ausa and Renapur tahsils were selected purposively because more number of farmers in these tahsils were using KMAS. Proportionate sampling method used in selection of respondents, thus total sample size was one hundred and twenty respondents which who are subscribers of KMAS. One shot case study method of ex-postfacto research design was adopted for this study.

  • The present study was conducted mainly with the objective to study “Farmer‟s perception about climate change in Marathwada Region.” For the study, Latur and Beed district were selected from Marathwada region of Maharashtra state during the years 2018-19. Four talukas viz., Latur and Renapur of Latur District and Kaij and Ambajogai from Beed district were selected randomly and two villages from each talukas were selected randomly. From each village fifteen members were randomly selected constituting the sample size 120. Ex-post-facto research design was used for the study.

  • In the present study, sixty four aromatic landraces of rice collected from different districts of Madhya Pradesh were analysed for genetic variation using SSR markers. Specially, the objective of the study was DNA fingerprinting and genetic diversity analysis of aromatic landraces to requisite to study the unique feature and to identify the duplication among them and to assist in broadening the germplasm base of future aromatic rice breeding programs.   • The present investigation was conducted during year 2017-18 in Aurangabad district of Marathwada region in Maharashtra state. The main objective is to study the personal, socio-economic, psychological and situational characteristics of the farmer’s families who committed suicides. From selected district five talukas were selected based on considerable farmer suicide cases. Thirty three villages were selected randomly based on considerable farmer suicide cases. Forty victims was selected proportionate method of random sampling for the study.

  • The study was conducted in Andhra Pradesh state during 2017-18. A total of 120 Bt cotton tenant farmers were selected randomly for the study. Data was collected with interview schedule. To study the nature of the relationship between the profile characteristics and knowledge level of Bt cotton tenant farmers, correlation coefficients (r) was computed and the values were presented in Table 1. The relationship between the profile and knowledge level of Bt cotton tenant farmers were tested by null hypothesis and empirical hypothesis.
