Metanephric adenoma is a rare benign renal tumor of the kidney, uncommonly observed in children. It is often misdiagnosed preoperatively as a malignant neoplasm, leading to an unnecessary nephrectomy.

This is a case report of a patient who developed severe acute kidney disease with kidney biopsy showing interstitial nephritis, plasma cell infiltration and immunoglobulin G4 (IgG4) expression consistent with IgG4-related kidney disease. The purpose of this study is to assess the prevalence of Helicobacter spp. in stomach of dogs with renal failure and to document the histopathological changes in Helicobacter spp. associated uremic gastritis in dogs. The present study consisted of 10 apparently healthy dogs and 35 dogs with chronic renal failure identified by detailed clinical examination, hematology, serum biochemistry, urinalysis and nephrosonography. Gastroscopy aided mucosal biopsies were taken using gastrofibrescope (OLYMPUS type GF*) in apparently healthy dogs and dogs with various grades of Azotenia.

Lupus nephritis (LN) carries high morbidity and mortality and whenever added to neuropsychiatric manifestations lead to more unfavorable prognosis. Though silent brain MRI findings in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) had been widely studied, the current work focused on LN patients comparing them to those without kidney affection, studying their cerebral MRI and its correlation with the histopathological classes of LN and disease activity. This may enable us to know more about early brain affection in LN patients for better follow up, management, and prognosis of this serious comorbidity.

Classic galactosemia is caused by deficiency of galactose-1-phosphate uridylyltransferase (GALT). It causes serious morbidity and mortality if left untreated. The majority of children with glomerulonephritis (GN) present with proteinuria, hematuria, hypertension, edema, reduced renal function, or the nephrotic syndrome. Post- streptococcal acute GN is familiar to the practicing pedi- atrician. Most affected children have a benign course and can be easily treated by the primary care physician on an ambulatory basis. Obviously, a nephrology consultation should be obtained on patients with oliguria, hyperkalemia, nephrotic syndrome, cardiac overload, and renal insuffi- ciency.
