Replication rate

Cancer mutations accumulate through replication errors and DNA damage coupled with incomplete repair. Individual mutational processes often show nucleotide sequence and functional region preferences. As a result, some sequence contexts mutate at much higher rates than others, with additional variation found between functional regions.

High dimensional case control studies are ubiquitous in the biological sciences, particularly genomics. To maximise power while constraining cost and to minimise type-1 error rates, researchers typically seek to replicate findings in a second experiment on independent cohorts before proceeding with further analyses.

This study was carried out to evaluate effects of loading density during transport on water quality and survival rate of Asian seabass (Lates calcarifer) juvenile. The experiment included four treatments of different loading densities: 50 kg/m3 (T1), 70 kg/m3 (T2), 90 kg/m3 (T3) and 110 kg/m3 (T4) with three replicates for each treatment. The fish with an average weight of 20.50 ± 0.25 g was transported in an aerated and oxygenated heat-insulated tanks.

The treatments consisted of two sowing methods (broadcasting and drilling at 30 cm inter-row spacing) and three nitrogen rates (0, 30 and 60 kg N). The experiment was laid out in a randomized complete block design with three replications. The results obtained showed that plant dry matter was significantly higher in the drilling method of sowing at 6 and 12 weeks after sowing (WAS) and the lowest plant dry matter was recorded in broadcasting in both years of studies.

Ginger (Zingiber officinale Roscoe) is grown in tropical and subtropical regions of the world for its spice and medicinal values. The emergence and early growth of ginger is inherently slow and weed growth can impact on yield. It has slow initial growth rate and shallow root system. As a result, it is invaded by a variety of weeds. A field experiment was carried out during 2015-16 and 2016-17 in randomized block design with three replications under AICRP on Weed Management at College of Horticulture and Forestry, CAU, Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh, India with nine treatments.

Stability of multiple testing procedures, defined as the standard deviation of total number of discoveries, can be used as an indicator of variability of multiple testing procedures. Improving stability of multiple testing procedures can help to increase the consistency of findings from replicated experiments.

The scrutiny was laid out in a split-split plot design with three replications. The investigation unwraps the information that the treatment i.e. no stress condition (- 0kPa) and -10kPa perform better when contrasted with the presentation of stress situation (- 40kPa) regardless of cultivars in the vast majority of the development and formative traits. Physical characters estimated regarding leaf appearance rate was found to diminish altogether if there should arise an occurrence of - 40kPa when contrasted with - 0 and - 10kPa.

Onion has very shallow root system that is frequently irrigated and fertilized with high fertilizer dose rates to maximize yield. Converting from furrow-fertigated to microsprinkler fertigated onion production may reduce fertilizer needs. The influence of fertigation sources and their levels, applied through microsprinkler irrigation on winter onion (Allium cepa L.) was evaluated for the years 2009-2011 under semi-arid region of India.
