This study aims to report on an investigation into Dong Nai University EFL students' beliefs and practices of autonomous learning. The study was carried out for 6 weeks in the first semester of school year 2023-2024 at Dong Nai University, Vietnam. The research employed a quantitative method by using a questionnaire to gather data from 80 English-majored students.

The present work provides a taxonomic key to the genera of Polygonaceae found in Vietnam. It also reports the first occurrence of Persicaria runcinata in Lai Chau province, extending its known distribution within the country. Detailed photographic illustrations of the specimens studied accompany the findings. This extended distribution of P. runcinata could hold significant conservation implications, emphasizing the importance of further research and conservation efforts in the region.

Glutamine synthetase (EC 6.3.1.2) is an enzyme which assimilates ammonium into amino acids. Therefore, GS plays an essential role in the metabolism of nitrogen. In vascular plants, GS is devided into two groups: cytosol - located isoform (GS1) and plastid – located isoform (GS2). Surveys have shown that GS1 gene was used widely to generate transgenic plants. Effects on the growth characteristics of GS1 transgenic plants have been reported in many researches.

This research project explores the effectiveness of an auditory display prototype for the sonification of internet \(c{o_2}\) emissions to a small user group within their office context. To date, methods do not exist for the reporting of this information to users of personal computing while they perform simple internet enquiries. Underpinning the theoretical development of this project is a focus on auditory displays guided by the concept and forms of auditory displays, together with the auditory perception elements to be considered in their design.

This thesis reports research on analysis of the variance of surface electromyogram (sEMG) for healthy participants and people suffering with Lower Back Pain (LBP) when they are walking and running. SEMG signal recorded when the participants were walking and running on a treadmill. The strength and duration of the muscle activity for each heel strike were the features.

The research reported here addresses the question of what is required to engage stakeholders to create effective change. It is a case study of one organisation, Melbourne Water, which is located in Victoria, Australia. The research is undertaken using a qualitative, action research framework and a systems psychodynamic perspective. Volunteer participants participated in one-on-one interviews and focus groups. The data is also generated through organisational observations and reflection utilising the methods of supervision and journaling.

This research investigated the report choices used for corporate social responsibility (CSR) disclosure and the determinants of CSR disclosure of firms listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET). Since 2014, firms listed on the SET have been required to disclose CSR in either an annual registration statement or a separate report called a sustainability report. The present research was carried out to determine the anatomical features of leaves of Alangium salviifolium and their endophytic fungal association. Alangium salviifolium is an important medicinal plant with various activities reported. It is suggested that the medicinal property of the plant is either because of their endophytes or the endophytes inherit the medicinal properties from their host plant. Hence the detailed study of plant- microbe interaction is important.
