Rhizobia are alpha-proteobacteria commonly found in soil and root nodules of legumes. It was recently reported that nitrogen-fixing rhizobia also inhabit legume seeds. In this study, we examined wholegenome sequences of seven strains of rhizobia isolated from seeds of common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris).

The field experiment was conducted during kharif season, 2017 at Seed Farm, College of Agriculture, Vijayapura,Karnataka. The experiment comprised of nine biopriming treatments and control. The results revealed that the higher seed yield (790 kg ha-1 ), gross returns (Rs. 39,475 ha-1 ), net returns (Rs. 24,046 ha-1 ) and B:C ratio (2.56) were recorded in the Rhizobium leguminosarum @ 20 per cent followed by Trichoderma harzianum @ 20 per cent, Streptomyces sp. strain AUDT-502 @ 20 per cent as compared to control and Fluorescent pseudomonad sp.

This is the first study demonstrating antibiotic potential of symbiotic bacteria and their metabolite profiling from cultured bacterial endosymbionts associated with root nodules of Leguminaceae plant Dolichos lab lab. Our study has significant scope and it has never been reported. Indian farming area especially semi arid areas host varieties of Legumes with novel secondary metabolites producing organisms.

An experiment was conducted during of rabi 2014-15 and 2015-16 at Soil Conservation and Water Management farm of the C. S. Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur to find out the response of row spacing, bio-fertilizer and nitrogen levels on yield attributes i.e. number of pods /plant, number of seeds/pod 1000-seed weight, protein content in (% & kg/ha), nodules/plant and fresh & dry weight (mg) of nodules/plant of chickpea crop.

The iron responsive regulator Irr is found in a wide range ofa-proteobac-teria, where it regulates many genes in response to the essential but toxic metal iron. Unlike Fur, the transcriptional regulator that is used for iron homeostasis by almost all other bacterial lineages, Irr does not sense Fe 2+ directly, but, rather, interacts with a physiologically important form of iron, namely heme.
