Seed-borne rice endophytes are capable of disseminating into host plant tissues as well as to their rhizosphere. Here, we investigated the occurrence of siderophore-producing bacteria (SPB) in the seed endospheres of two distinct rice (Oryza sativa L.) cultivars, TK8 (ssp. japonica) and TCN1 (ssp. indica), and their dissemination into the rhizospheres through culture-dependent methods.

The rhizosphere microorganisms can form beneficial, pathogenic, or neutral relationships. These relationships can promote plant growth and productivity. Among them, a number of Variovorax isolates from the rhizosphere were isolated. Bacteria Variovorax strain C6d (AB552893) was isolated from the non axenic culture of Chlorella spp., C6.

Biocontrol of stem end disease agent, Alternaria alternata YZU, on pitaya is more interested in altering the application of chemical pesticides. This study was conducted to characterize antagonistic phosphate solubilizing bacteria (PSB) from rhizosphere soil for their biocontrol activities against A. alternata YZU under laboratory and greenhouse conditions.

Stem end rot is the most destructive disease caused by Alternaria alternata YZU in pitayagrowing regions of Vietnam. This study was conducted to characterize antagonistic phosphatesolubilizing bacteria (PSB) from rhizosphere soil for their biocontrol activities against A. alternata YZU and evaluate the effect of temperature, pH, and water activity on that antagonism.

Antibiotics are disseminated by grazing animals or their feces throughout agricultural areas. These antibiotics, as environmental pollutants, have a negative impact on plant growth and physiology. Sulfonamides are frequently used to protect livestock production, but they also have a considerable negative impact on plant growth and rhizospheric bacteria. Plants are sensitive to their surroundings, and they employ their internal biological systems to deal with the threats to their growth and development.

Microorganisms in the rhizosphere soil play a key role in maintaining the soil fertility, which is a key for successful crop production to meet the increasing global food demand. The aims of this study were to boost growth attributes, yield and nutrient uptake of rice by different treatment combination of plant growth promoting bacteria (PGPB) and NPK fertilizer doses.

Engineering of plant rhizosphere with beneficial plant growth promoting (PGP) bacteria offers a great promise for sustainable crop productivity. In this context, 49 rhizospheric/endophytic bacterial isolates were purified using N-free medium, screened in vitro for PGP characteristics and evaluated for their beneficial effects on the early growth of maize (Zea mays L.).

The use of auxin-producing rhizosphere bacteria as agricultural products promises increased root production and therefore greater phosphate (Pi) uptake. Whilst such bacteria promote root production in vitro, the nature of the bacteria-plant interaction in live soil, particularly concerning any effects on nutrient uptake, are not known.

The rhizosphere is part of the soil surrounding the plant roots or being influenced by the plant roots. The exudates released from roots make it a site for complex biochemical activity. Microorganisms make up one of the dynamic parts of this rhizosphere, and affect soil and plant growth by various means.

In the present investigation, an attempt was made to assess the compatibility of six agrochemicals such as Fungicides (Metalaxyl and Tricyclazole), Insecticides (Profenophos and Chloranthraniliprole) and Herbicides (Glyphosate and Atrazine) against five potassium releasing bacterial and two fungal isolates from Rajendranagar, Hyderabad. Compatibility tests indicated that glyphosate has much severe effect on microbial biomass at low, recommended and double doses.
