The curing agent content plays an important role in the synthesis of polymer composites, as it determines the quality and durability of these materials. Cyanethyl-diethylenetriamine (CEDETA) was used as the curing agent for epoxy epikote 828. The effect of CEDETA content on the gel content and fracture toughness (KIC) of epoxy resin, as well as the effect of reinforcing fabric on the mechanical properties of composite materials was studied.

In this study, a surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) substrate based on an octahedral nanostructure of cuprous oxide (Cu2O) was fabricated to probe methylene blue (MB) molecules. Cu2O nanocrystals were synthesized by the solvothermal process using ethylene glycol, which plays both roles of reductant and organic solvent.

Late vendor deliveries, fabrication or construction errors, and out-of-sequence deliveries plagued each of the three projects. Blends of polyphenylene oxide (PPO) and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) were prepared by melt-mixing method. Flammability of these blends was studied by using UL-94 (plastics flammability standard) and LOI (limited oxygen index) tests. The results showed the role of PPO as flame retardant in the blends which can inhibit the burning process. All blends of PPO and ABS were graded as V-1 and LOI values were higher than 21. As a physical mixture, tensile strength of PPO/ABS blends maintained values between the tensile of neat ABS and PPO.

In this paper, new paleomagnetic and anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility (AMS) data from Miocene continental units of the Çankırı Basin are presented, with the main goal of providing additional constraints on its deformational and rotational history during the Late Cenozoic. AMS data indicate a tectonic origin for the magnetic fabric, suggesting that Upper Miocene units were still involved in the deformation processes.
