This paper analyzes a monthly global gridded sea-surface wind dataset from Jan 1991 to Dec 2020, sourced from the International Comprehensive Ocean-Atmosphere Data Set (ICOADS). The goal is construct schematic maps depicting the monthly average distributions of sea-surface wind speeds and directions in the East Vietnam Sea.

Particulate organic carbon (POC) plays a vital role in the ocean carbon cycle and is related to many important ocean biogeochemical processes. This study investigates the annual and seasonal variability of POC and its relationship with sea surface temperature (SST), chlorophyll-a (Chl-a), and wind vector in the northern Bay of Bengal (BoB) of Bangladesh and validates satellite data with in situ measurement data.;

Temperature and wind on the sea surface are factors affecting the development of coral reefs in the seawaters. The research results show that the warming of sea water under the condition of weak wind field is considered a major threat to the bleaching of coral reefs in the sea areas of the Ninh Thuan - Binh Thuan provinces.

The temporal and spatial variability of sea surface temperature (SST), sea surface wind and the chlorophyll-a (chl-a) concentration in the Gulf of Tonkin is analyzed based on satellite data for one year 2002. The analysis results indicated that monthly and spatial variations of the chl-a are primarily associated with the monsoonal winds activity and sea surface temperature distributions.

Observations from satellites have shown a statistical relationship between the surface wind stress and underlying sea surface temperature (SST) on space and time scales, in many regions. Using satellite‐ derived data, the variability in wind and SST is examined for a particularly strong upwelling summer season off central Vietnam coast in 2002.

This increase in the meridional surface temperature gradient is persistent regardless of how the gradient is defined, thus accounting for an increase in vertical wind shear and justifying why the overall number of TCs decreases during the recent period. Along with stronger vertical wind shear, it is also found that the intensity of summer monsoon in the VES decreases between the two periods.

In this paper, through statistics of tropical cyclones in the East Sea from 1961 to 2017, the research team calculate Tropical Cyclone Power Dissipation (PDI), defined the maximum wind speed and the life time of tropical cyclones, compare with some other indicators that have been used by other authors such as NetTC in the East Sea to see the correlation between indicators and factors related to climate change such as sea surface temperature, Nino 3-4.

Climate warming, variation of East Asian atmospheric system have affected the Chinese offshore environment through the air-sea interaction, the coastal waters of South China Sea had been influenced, leading a corresponding impact on the coral reef growth. This paper reports on coral coverage and dominant coral species changes in Xu wen National Coral Reef Nature Reserve, examines their relationship with meteorological factors anomalies recorded by satellite.

Our study applied the Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition (EEMD) method to analyze intraseasonal variability (ISV) of sea surface temperature (SST) and wind speed using a 22-year monitoring data set from 10 coastal stations. Results show that the El Niño and Southern Oscillation (ENSO) significantly affected the ISO Quasi-Biennial Oscillation (QBWO) 10-20 day periods and MaddenJulian Oscillation (MJO) 30-60 day periods of SST and wind speed at the coastal stations.

Beside the effect of gravitational forces, the water level in Sai Gon-Dong Nai River System is also affected by non gravitational forces such a wind, air pressure, rainfall and sea level rise. The purpose of this paper is to simulate the water level of these river based on the tidal and non-tidal constituents, from that assess the role of non-tidal constituents to water variation. In this study, the none-tidal data used includes the wind field at surface, sea level pressure and the rainfall in Sai Gon- Dong Nai Basin. With the analyzed data series from 1980 to 2007, the results...

An ocean wave is an undulation of the sea surface. Wave crest,Wave trough,Wave height,Wave lengt,Wave period Progressive waves move across the sea surface.,Standing waves oscillate about a fixed point. Wind velocity : Wind duration, Fetch (distance over which wind blows), Simply put, wave size increases as all these factors increase.
