The changes in physico-chemical properties of yoghurt containing cress seed mucilage (CM) compared with yoghurt containing guar gum (GG) or plain yoghurt during storage at 5±2 C for 15 days were evaluated. CM was prepared and added to standardized buffalo’s milk (3.2% fat and 15.0% TS) at rate of 0.025%, 0.05% and 0.10% but GG was added at the rate of 0.025% and 0.05% to create 5 treatments.

Ethylene is an important phytohormone that regulates several aspects of plant development including those crucial for drought tolerance. The main aim of the present work was to investigate variability in ethylene sensitivity of mungbeans to seed germination, waterlogging, and leaf senescence, and the underlying transcriptional regulation of ethylene biosynthetic/responsive genes. Significant variation was observed for silver-nitrate–mediated germination inhibition and flooding stress tolerance among the mungbean genotypes.

Statistically significant differences in seed germination rate occurred between treatments. Growth indicators such as stem height, root length, and leaf area were measured after 14 d after treatment with water containing NBs. Statistical analysis showed that there were significant differences in the dry weight of samples between treatments although these differences were quite small.

The average speed of operation of the planter was found to be 1.46 km/h. The average seed to seed distance was 30 cm and average row to row distance is 45 cm. Broadcasting method results in the higher amount of seed rate, non-uniform distribution of seeds, poor bulb maturity, higher nutrient competition, and more over it is a time consuming and laborious process.
