Tumor Treating Fields (TTFields) Therapy is an FDA-approved therapy in the first line and recurrent setting for glioblastoma. Despite Phase 3 evidence showing improved survival with TTFields, it is not uniformly utilized. We aimed to examine patient and clinician views of TTFields and factors shaping utilization of TTFields through a unique research partnership with medical neuro oncology and medical social sciences.

"Standard Specification for Steel Wire, Chromium-Silicon Alloy" covers round and shaped chromiumsilicon alloy steel spring wire having properties and quality intended for the manufacture of springs resistant to set when used at moderately elevated temperatures. This product is not meant to be used for non-static applications involving moderate fatigue stresses (see Specification A1000/A1000M) or high cycle fatigue applications (see Specification A877/A877M).

Edge detection is a basic analogy of image processing. It is successful in detecting and extracting the objects features . It is the set of mathematical methods whose goal is to identifying points and shapes in a digital image of 2d geometric shapes to what place changes sharply the image brightness. A survey of diverse methodologies of edge detection are provided here.

mages contain information in a very dense and complex form, which a human eye, after years of training, can extract and understand. The main goal is to extract form an image a set of composing objects or real life attributes. This paper presents a novel framework for combining color and shape information, to achieve higher retrieval efficiency. The combination of the color and shape features provide a robust feature set for image retrieval.

This paper reports an experimental programme to study the effectiveness of stirrup detailing on the structural performance of columns having small sectional dimensions that are common in low-rise building structures. Nine column specimens with the same geometrical dimensions of 220 mm × 220 mm × 880 mm in three batches were detailed with different stirrup categories, have been gradually axially loaded to failure.

Since shape memory alloy (SMA) wires can hardly ever be reliably employed under compressive loadings, SMA springs are developed as axial actuators with the ability of withstanding both tension and compression. In this paper, shape memory alloy helical springs are produced by shape-setting two types of wires: One with shape memory effect (SME) and the other with pseudoelasticity (PE) at the ambient temperature.

In the wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) process, the geometry of single welding beads has significant effects on the stability process and the final quality and shape of manufactured parts. In this paper, the geometry of single welding beads of 308L stainless steel was predicted as functions of process parameters (i.e. welding current I, voltage U, and travel speed v) by using the response surface methodology (RSM). A set of experimental runs was carried out by using the Box-Behnken design method.

In this lecture we will focus geometric shapes and forms, organic shapes and forms, texture. An "organic" or "natural" form is loose and undefined. Often things found in nature are organic forms, like clouds. Clouds have no set form, and no geometric lines or angles. "Geometric" or "inorganic" forms have hard, defined lines and angles, and don't vary too much. Often man-made things have these kinds of forms, which must be measured to come out "correctly."

The separation of ownership and managerial control in public corporations increases the organizational implications of the CEO-Board relationship. Boards of Directors and CEOs play an integral role in shaping firm strategies; therefore, this study examines the effect of CEO tenure and the moderating influence of independent directors on corporate innovation. Using a data set of electronics firms listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange Corporations, this study finds an inverted-U relationship between CEO tenure and corporate innovation (i.e.

Effect of various training systems and spacings on flowering and fruiting in peach cv. Shan-i-Punjab
Trees of Shan-i-Punjab peach were planted at two spacings viz., 5m x 2m and 5m x 3m and were trained to four training systems viz., Y shaped, Hedge row, Espalier and V trellis. Maximum mean flower bud density (13.95) was recorded in V trellis trained trees and minimum mean flower bud density was recorded in Hedge row trees. Fruiting characters including fruit set, fruit retention, fruiting pattern was maximum in Espailer trained trees and minimum in Hedge row trees.

This paper describes the main features of the DVBNGH Bit-Interleaved Coded Modulation (BICM) module. This latter is derived from a sub-set of DVB-T2 BICM components with additional features intended to first lower receiver complexity and power consumption and then to increase receiver robustness over mobile reception. Therefore, the long code block size was removed, a different range of coding rates was chosen, non-uniform constellations were adopted in order to provide shaping gain, and the principle of signal space diversity was extended to four-dimensional rotated constellations.
