Hainan Island became a special economic zone in 1988. In 2018, China planned to develop Hainan into a pilot free trade zone, gradually exploring and steadily advancing the construction of a free trade port, and establishing a policy and institutional system for free trade ports in stages (Trang Tran, 2018).

A field experiment was conducted during kharif 2015-16 and 2016-17 at the Regional Research Station (Old Alluvial Zone), Dakshin Dinajpur under Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya to study the effect of seed priming and foliar application of micronutrients on direct seeded upland rice (Oryza sativa L). The experiment was laid out in factorial randomized block design with nine treatment combinations comprising seed priming and foliar spray of micronutrients. Treatments were replicated thrice. Significantly highest yield (3667.03 kg ha-1 ) was recorded in seed priming with 2.2% CaCl2.

The research study was conducted during the year 2015 to study relationship between the personal, socio-economic and psychological characteristics and livelihood security of the tribal farmers in high altitude tribal zone of Karnataka state. The study revealed that education, land holding, annual income, extension contact, mass media exposure, social participation, economic orientation, risk orientation and level of aspiration had shown positively significant relationship and fatalism had shown negatively significant relationship with livelihood security of tribal farmers.

The present study entitled “Studies on yield and economics of winter vegetables in North East Ghat Zone of Odisha” was designed to assess the comparative profitability of selected winter vegetables: namely tomato, cabbage, cauliflower, carrot and beet. The experiment was carried out on instructional farm of College of Agriculture, GIBS, Gunupur, Odisha during pre-rabi season 2017-18 with six treatments and ten replications treated in Randomized Block Design. The results of the study were statistically analysed and it showed significant differences between the treatments.

Early sowing of rice by 20 June produced significantly the highest grain yield followed by normal (5 July) and late sowings (20 July) and the yield of its stubble crop also followed the similar trend. The experiment was conducted at New Upland Research Station cum Instructional Farm, Lamker under SG College of Agriculture and Research Station, Jagdalpur (CG) during Kharif season 2018. Experiment was laid out in split plot design with three replications. Main plot was three levels of fertilizer and sub plot consists of four planting geometry. This paper explains how the management of the full-dyke system in the deep flooded zones of the Vietnamese Mekong Delta affects rice cultivation, and outlines how alternative dyke management strategies could offer more sustainable adaptations in the face of future environmental threats. The current management of the ‘full-dyke’ network has been successful in promoting triple-cropping rice cultivation, but this practice has prevented sediment deposition on the land surface.
