This thesis addresses important issues about how to make game characters and virtual agents more realistic or believable by using cognitive-social personality theories. We begin motivation by discussing two examples. The first is from a television series and the second is a more concrete example that will be used throughout the thesis to explain concepts and the model. These examples represent the ideal goal of our work.

To understand the varying elements of school leadership a qualitative research approach using semi-structured interviews was used, which was appropriate due to the social and psychological nature of the topic being studied. Two interviews were conducted a year apart with participants to provide a detailed examination of the participants’ experiences and to gain deeper insights into their perceptions of emotions in their work.

This work aims to shed light on this literature, analysing both the affordability and the accessibility energy problem of Argentine households. To do so, we use micro-data from an expenditure-survey. First, we measure the energy affordability problem by calculating the Boardman indicator. Second, we estimate two logit models to show how likely it is that the affordability energy problem explains the choice of facilities for cooking and heating that can indicate an energy accessibility problem.

The purpose of this work is to present a model of trust computation being defined by means of the context of user’s interests and degrees of direct interaction among peers. A dynamic structure of social network based on a hierarchy of peers into k-layer neighbors w.r.t. a given source peer is investigated. We introduce a similarity measure being constructed from the space of vectors of users’ interests. Up on the location of a target peer w.r.t. the hierarchy, we propose methods of estimating trust values via propagation as well as the similarity.
