This book is for information system architects, enterprise software developers (or those who want to be), consultants, students, and technology managers who need to understand the architecture, benefits, and services provided by directories. The goal is to provide the reader with background, motivation, and details on building enterprise software solutions using directory services. The book is not about installing and configuring directory services, although there is information on those topics on the CD.
