This study aims to evaluate the effect of fire on soil properties at Zone A5, Tram Chim National Park, Tam Nong district, Dong Thap province. Findings indicated that soil type was acid sulfate, soil structures were clay, clay-silt and silt-clay. pH was low while moisture was high. Electrical conductivity and bulk density were in the tolerance range for the Eleocharis community.

Erosion is an environmental phenomenon, but due to human activities this phenomenon has led to many serious problems. With the aim of protecting soil resource, as well as circumscribe damages by erosion, so the study of applying USLE on assessing soil erosion at Lam Son headwater catchment was conducted. To reach the purposes, the content of the study focus on collecting data and using USLE, ArcGis software to form rainfall map, slope coefficient and slope length map, canopy cover coefficient map.

Ebook "Community seed production sustainability in rice–wheat farming" analyzes the sustainability of community seed production under a rice–wheat farming system from microeconomic perspectives, considering how seed producers benefit from community seed production and how those benefits continue into the future. Seed producers’ performance in resource management, governance and marketing strategies indicates current benefits, whereas soil conservation and risk-management practices provide the basis for future benefits.

Ebook "The mycota: A comprehensive treatise on fungi as experimental systems for basic and applied research (Industrial applications X, 2nd edition)" deal with the mechanisms of interactions between fungi and plants and consider pathogenic as well as mutualistic associations. Nobody involved in the manipulation of plant populations can afford to ignore the fungi, so pervasive and important are fungus/plant interactions for the well-being of plant communities, both managed and natural.

Heavy metal contamination in the environment due to anthropogenic activities in industrial and agricultural areas represents stress for the living ecosystem including soil microorganisms. The adaptive response of bacterial communities to these pollutants can be observed through the increasing proportion of resistant bacteria.

During the past decades, extensive parts of the Quercus brantii woodlands in the Zagros Mountains declined in size and habitat quality. We aimed to explore the variation of oak woodlands in the southern Zagros Mountains and to assess the vulnerability. We examined 49 plots at different altitudes and aspects, recorded the vascular plant species for tree and herb-layer composition, and collected data on topographic and edaphic factors.
