Ebook "Mapping spatial relations, their perceptions and dynamics: The city today and in the past" is the product of an eponymous workshop, which took place in Erfurt in May, 2012, and which has since then been supplemented with four further contributions. The topics focus on the potential mapping of perceived urban space and spatial hierarchies as a consequence of social usage (undertaken by a variety of active participants) together with spatio-temporal changes as a result of factors such as demographic urban growth and decline.

In ebook "Ecology of cyanobacteria II: Their diversity in space and time" cyanobacteria have existed for 3.5 billion years, yet they are still the most important photosynthetic organisms on the planet for cycling carbon and nitrogen. The ecosystems where they have key roles range from the warmer oceans to many Antarctic sites. They also include dense nuisance growths in nutrient-rich lakes and nitrogen-fixers which aid the fertility of rice-fields and many soils, especially the biological soil crusts of arid regions.

Suburbs in Melbourne present to us a unique context with which a new approach towards urban form can be devised using the existing conditions and opportunities found with infrastructural developments. This thesis contains the investigations on the various 'pathologies' of the urban fabric specifically on the potential use of 'Spaces Left-Over After Planning' as by-product to infrastructural development in relation to the reinvigoration of Melbourne suburbs under the influence of current and future metropolitan growth pressures.

"Analysis of designs used in monitoring crop growth based on remote sensing methods" choosing appropriate designs and methods for monitoring crop growth is a challenging process of major importance. Remote sensing from space and manned or unmanned airborne operations are used to measure crop reflectance and a wide variety of other agricultural parameters. While some experiments use only a few, specific methods and designs and organize the results in lists of evidence, other experiments use a wider range of techniques to create a more credible and comprehensive assessment of crop yield.

The rapid growth of data has become a huge challenge for software systems. The quality of fault prediction model depends on the quality of software dataset. High-dimensional data is the major problem that affects the performance of the fault prediction models. In order to deal with dimensionality problem, feature selection is proposed by various researchers.

The global economy declined into a serious crisis with disrupted FDI flows as a result; and Vietnam’s economy was not exception despite the country has effective steps to minimize both the public health and economic growth. This paper analyses negative impacts of the decease to global economies, in general and Vietnam economic growth, in detail and especially FDI flows.

Genomic selection (GS) can offer unprecedented gains, in terms of cost efficiency and generation turnover, to forest tree selective breeding; especially for late expressing and low heritability traits. Here, we used: 1) exome capture as a genotyping platform for 1372 Douglas-fir trees representing 37 full-sib families growing on three sites in British Columbia, Canada and 2) height growth and wood density (EBVs), and deregressed estimated breeding values (DEBVs) as phenotypes. Representing models with (EBVs) and without (DEBVs) pedigree structure.

The present study on out planting performance of Ocimum basilicum in field plantation was undertaken to optimize the spacing required for achieving maximum yield and essential oil. Seeds collected locally were sown in a broadcast manner and transplanted later at seedling stage at different spacing viz., S1 (10 cm × 10 cm), S2 (10 cm × 20 cm), S3 (10 cm × 30 cm) and S4 (10 cm × 40 cm). Seeds were sown in well prepared nursery beds in March, 2018.

A field experiment conducted on the effect of organic treatments and spacing on growth and yield parameters of kalmegh under rabi season 2017-18 at college of Horticulture, Rajendranagar revealed that interaction between organic treatments and spacing significantly influenced growth and yield parameters. The treatment M1S1 - FYM 30 t/ha + AMC (7.5 l/ha) with spacing S1 (15 x15 cm) recorded maximum plant height (45.64 cm) at harvest, followed by M3S3- Neem cake 7.5 t/ha + AMC 7.5 l/ha with spacing S3 (30 x 45 cm). Minimum was recorded in M5S3 – control at spacing (S3- 30 x 45 cm).

Cotton is one of the most commercial crops of the world and in the maintaining of many economics. Cotton is cultivated in nearly 100 countries with China, India, United States, Pakistan and Brazil being the five largest producers of cotton. Cotton is the back born of textile industry and provides raw material in the form of lint to the textile industry. A field experiment was conducted, with hirsutum cotton genotype H-1300 during Kharif season 2015 at the Oil Seed Farm of C.S. Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur.

Maximum yield is achieved at optimum plant density which depends upon environmental condition, cropping system and cultivar (Bridge et al., 1973; El-Shinnawy and Ghaly, 1985; Halemani and Hallikeri, 2002). However, farmers are adopting various plant geometries with wider row spacings as well as closer plant spacings. As Bt cotton cultivation has resulted in early setting of bolls, ultimately it requires more nutrients. The present study was carried out to know the effect of spacing and fertility levels growth and yield of Bt cotton.
