Their ratings before and after the training session on the VSTEP.3-5 speaking rating scales were then compared. Particularly, dimensions of score reliability, criterion difficulty, rater severity, rater fit, rater bias, and score band separation were analyzed. Positive results were detected when the post-training ratings were shown to be more reliable, consistent, and distinguishable. Improvements were more noticeable for the score band separation and slighter in other aspects.

This paper aims to assess the present situation of English pronunciation students of Agriculture University in Hanoi and suggests some specific methods to improve students' pronunciation. Fact that most students are not interested in the pronunciation until they have trouble speaking English correctly and the difficulty in listening to English tapes. Furthermore, they only imitate others pronounce that they claim that they speak English better.

Paper format The Speaking test contains four parts. 15 minutes. 4. Two candidates and two examiners. One examiner acts as both interlocutor and assessor and manages the interaction either by asking questions or by providing cues for candidates. The other acts as assessor and does not join in the conversation.
