In this study, the efficacy of educational technology tools in enhancing speaking skills was explored through a quasi-experimental design involving 84 IT freshmen. Employing tools such as FORVO (FV), YouGlish (YG), and Oxford Advanced Learners' Dictionary (OALD) 8th edition, the research compared the speaking abilities of students using these technologies (experimental group) against those taught through traditional methods (control group).

The reading comprehension skill is considered as one of the four fundamental language skills that an EFL learner must perform. Actually, it is not an easy skill since most of learners have many reading issues. The purpose of this present work is to investigate on these reading difficulties that grade 10 students at the Asian International Highschool face, and to identify their reading problems and the reasons behind their weaknesses in performing the reading task.

The aim of the study was to solve the students’ problems in speaking lesson by using task-based activities. Then, the first objective was to verify the effectiveness of using task-based learning on the speaking performance of the 11th grade students at Diem Thuy high school. Specifically, it investigated whether TBL exerted any influence on students’ performance in speaking classes. The second objective was to explore students’ opinions towards the use of task-based learning in speaking lessons.

The findings showed that there was no big difference in the development and organization of ideas between the two groups’ writing performances. In fact, the participants’ writing performance depended on the assigned topics and required subskills. In detail, depicting was found to assist generating ideas, but outlining was found useful in helping organizing ideas. Regarding the participants’ preferences, nearly half of the participants preferred outlining and slightly over one third preferred depicting.
