Spearman’s analysis

The principal aim of this study was to investigate the presence of factors afecting Baker’s cyst volume in young and middle-aged populations. Open cyst excision with valve and capsule repair, as well as knee arthroscopy, were used to treat eightyfve patients. The cases were categorized in terms of age, efusion, chondral lesion degree, meniscal tear degree, and Lindgren scores. An ultrasonography (USG) device was used to calculate the cyst volume. The IBM-SPSS 22 program was used for statistical analysis and to assess the relationships between variables using Spearman’s correlation tests.

This study researched atmospheric pollen from Mersin Province using the volumetric method between in 2016 and 2017. The daily, weekly, monthly, and annual distribution of the pollen obtained during the study was identified. The relationship between pollen and meteorological factors was researched using Spearman’s rho analysis. During the two-year study, 32,336 pollen grains/m3 from 40 different taxa [22 trees, 1 grass (Poaceae), and 17 other weeds] were identified. Of the total pollen, 82% belonged to trees, 6.8% to grasses, 11% to other weeds, and unidentified taxa accounted for 0.2%.

This study evaluated the phytoplankton communities based on functional groups to obtain information about the water quality of Lake İznik, Turkey. The phytoplankton consisted of 103 taxa, classified in 12 phytoplankton functional groups (PFGs), with dominancy of 5 species, Chrysosporum ovalisporum, Dolichospermum mendotae, Planktothrix rubescens, Fragilaria capucina, and Mougeotia sp. The Shannon–Wiener diversity index (H’) was calculated and results ranged between 0.41 and 2.47.

Chlorophyll-a (Chl-a) has been used extensively as an essential indicator of trophic state in the assessment and monitoring of surface water quality environments. Clinical assessment of functional disability is an integral part of management in patients with low back pain (LBP). The range of spinal motion is one of LBP disability measure. The aim of this study was to investigate the validity of spinal range of motion as a predictable measure of disability and to analyze the intrarater reliability of back range of motion (BROM) instrument for measurement of active lumber spine range of motion. Forty men patients with chronic low back pain over 6 month’s duration were participated in the study. Their ages ranged from 20 to 40 years.

To investigate correlations between serum HBV RNA and HBV DNA level, ALT activity in naive patients with chronic hepatitis B and HBV-related cirrhosis. Subjects and methods: This cross-sectional study involved 39 chronic hepatitis B and 19 cirrhosis patients, aged 19 - 78 years. Serum samples at admission were used to quantify HBV RNA, HBV DNA level and ALT activity. Spearman’s correlation analysis was used for correlations of HBV RNA and HBV DNA level, ALT activity. For HBV RNA quantification, a specific real-time PCR technique was used with a lower limit of detection of 100 copies/mL.
