In this work, gold nanorods (AuNRs) with well-controlled aspect ratios were prepared using a modified seedgrowth method and covered by TiO2 layers through the hydrothermal reaction to improve stability. Integrating TiO2 with plasmonic rod-like gold nanoparticles could enhance their photo activity by the local surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) effect. AuNRs aspect ratios were controlled by varying the amount of seed solution, reducing agents, surfactant (CTAB), and titanium (IV) but oxide.

From the methanol extract of dried powders of Hedyotis diffusa Willd. (Rubiaceae) plant growing in Tuyen Quang Province, three compounds were isolated and identified: B-sitosterol, daucosterol and ursolic acid. Their structures were confirmed by various spectral methods (IR, NMR, MS, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, etc.) and by comparison with those of references.

Smilax glabra Roxb. is a medicinal plant of Vietnam to treat several diseases such as: Piercing pain in the bones, detoxicating, scabies, nephritis, cystitis, syphilis,... From ethanol extracts of Smilax glabra Roxb. cultivating in Thai Nguyen, 5 compounds were isolated and structurally elucidated in the first time by various spectral methods, such as IR, MS, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, DEPT, HSQC, HMBC.

Magneto-optical absorption coefficient (MOAC) in infinite square quantum well (SQW) is investigated by time-dependent perturbation method. The dependence of MOAC on the photon energy is calculated and graphically plotted. From the graphs showing this dependence, we obtained the spectral line width (the full-width at half maximum - FWHM) of the cyclotron-phonon resonance peaks using Profile method.

To extract, isolate, determine the structure of compounds from Huperzia serrata (Thunb.) Trevis. Subjects and methods: The samples were collected in Tamdao National Park. The structure of substances was determined by spectral methods. Results and conclusions: 2 compounds of terpenoid group were isolated, namely: 3β, 21β, 29-trihydroxyserrat-14-en-24-oic acid-3β-yl- (7’-hydroxycinnamate); 16-oxo-3α-hydroxyserrat-14-en-21β-ol, the substances were confirmed by the structure of NMR, MS, HMBC, HSQC.

The overall performance of the systems is often limited by the accuracy of the underlying speech parameterization and reconstruction method. The method proposed in this paper allows accurate MFCC, F0 and tone extraction and high-quality reconstruction of speech signals assuming Mel Log Spectral Approximation filter. Its suitability for high-quality HMM-based speech synthesis is shown through evaluations subjectively.

This thesis aimed to apply the SEM for dynamic analysis of cracked beam subjected moving harmonic force in the frequency domain. Namely, the frequency response of a cracked beam subjected to moving harmonic force is obtained explicitly and examined in dependence upon the load and crack parameters. This task is acknowledged herein spectral analysis of cracked beam subjected to moving load.
